The Fanboy SEO goes to Dagupan to document and tell the story of the Globe Bangus Festival 2015!
Globe knows just how important it is to have a strong and reliable mobile data connection for big events and special occasions such as Dagupan’s Bangus Festival.
GoSurf50 for example powered the festivities this year in Dagupan and they’ve brought along Ashley Rivera aka Petra Mahalimuyak, DJ Luane De Lima and the one of the top bands in the Philippines, Kamikazee, for the ride.
They also invited local talents to entertain the thick crowds who flocked to the Globe stage roughly around 9pm.
By 10pm, the anticipation was reaching a fever pitch with everybody ready to rock out to Kamikazee’s popular hits.
The Globe Bangus Festival 2015 isn’t just all about the musical guests and giveaways, they’ve basically built a small world within the festival where complete with wi-fi zones, henna tattoo parlors and of course, prepaid loading areas. More than that though, the telco managed to amplify the “good vibes” for the evening.
In between the music and the summer evening breeze, everything was great only spruced up by the fact that there were over 800 grills cooking the famous Dagupan bangus
FUN FACT: This year’s Bangus Festival used approximately 17,000 kilos of bangus for the festival!
I seriously asked the festival’s chief if its possible to cook liempo during the event and they said yes; in fact I saw people even grilling oysters or “talaba” during the street party.
We also met up with the regional guys for Globe and learned more about the event:
Globe has an advocacy and a Socio-Civic agenda and that is to connect on a cultural and traditional level to various cities and their festivities this helps in uniting people from different parts of the Philippines using Globe’s fast and dependable service be it prepaid or post-paid.
That being said, here are a couple more photos during the event:
In all honesty it was a fun out-of-town coverage. Sure it was hot but the experience totally made up for it. We got to Pangasinan around lunch time and saw how the street party grounds transformed from this:
