Had another ability burst today.

When my littles went upstairs for their naps/individual time, I got to work clearing off the garage couch. Stuff had accumulated on it over time and a path to exit the garage with it also needed clearing.

I managed to completely clear off the couch and most of the surrounding area. But the few feet between the couch and the actual garage door is full of bulky and/or heavy things that I need my husband to finish off moving. Then we're golden!!

I had to stop there as that was all I could do... but I did leave things downstairs by the inner door that need to be brought up into the house. I didn't have energy after all of that so it does still need doing. But I'm happy with all I accomplished in the hour of kid-free time I had.

Either tonight or early tomorrow morning we'll finish off that little section of clutter and then be good to go dragging that thing out into the driveway. I've had that couch for 10 years, only in the last few did it get scruffed up on the surface due to it becoming our dog's lounge couch in the den. But even then, there are replacement panels online I've seen so it CAN be fixed back up, I just absolutely don't have the spoons/desire to do so 😅

Dudum (A writing prompt short story)

I held my sheild in my hand, sword out and ready to swing. In my pack I held many healing potions crafted by my own hands. The music grew in volume yet nothing appeared though its intencity quickened. Sweat began to bead down my neck making me jump and turn shaking. I thought perhaps it was a spider of sorts, coming to posion me and send me back to my last save. None appeared it seemed. As I walked along the hallways I saw potions that would help with burns. Perhaps it was Satan himself I was meant to fight. I don’t remember why I trusted the inn keeper about this mission, “it will be a simple mission” she said, “one where I would gain much glory and shed little of my own blood”. I hoped to hell she was right, prayed that one day I would get back to the bulliten and gain more quests. The music stopped suddenlty as did my pulse with its disappearance. Suddenly! A swift force hit me square in the back sending me flying across the circular room I had come to find myself in. I only noticed then as I had the altitude to see. A fierce growl came from the darkness and the room became bright with blaze. I turned to find out what I was against only to shake at the knees. It was not Satan no, though now I wish it had been! It seemed to be a giant flame monster, oh what did they call those again? No time to figure that out as a flaming ball came my way. I drew up my shield only to get it blasted into pieces. Shaking more I stood with my sword and ran at the beast, only to have it melt into nothingness. The last thing I saw? Was orange and red all around before I woke again in my bed. Much wiser now, and soon to be...much more prepaired.
