I started thinking like fairies visiting the Dark Forest as diplomats (after the recent Strange Hearts installment obv) and trying to work out how to address Griselda and eventually agreeing between themselves on "her Majesty the Queen Mother". When Griselda hears about this she's super touched and flattered but then immediately goes round telling everyone to call her Griselda or better still Granny because if she got to pick a title tho she would she so would.

Awwww, I really like this idea! I also head canon that fairies would be more concerned about the titles held by others more so than goblins are (although Bog is awfully proud of his title, which I feel comes from both well deserved pride and clinging to it out of insecurity). Griselda strikes me as exactly the kind of cool old lady who thinks titles are fancy flimflam and would much rather be known by her name or a nickname to help foster coziness and closeness. 

You know, I’ve always liked the idea of Griselda being referred to as the Queen Mother or the Dowager Queen by the fairies, but I’ve struggled for a while to think about what title she would go by when she ruled the Forest with Gravener. When she passed away she simply went by the King’s Mother or the Queen Mother, but when she ruled the Forest, it was a wee bit different. 

He was The Gravener King and Bog was The Bog Prince, so technically she could go by The Griselda Queen or The Gravener Queen, but…I feel like I could be so much more creative than that. 

I think she would much rather go by The Queen of the Dark Forest. Or she could decide to come up with her own title based on her nickname, which is what I plan to have happen with other future characters in the Strange Hearts & Wild Things timeline. 

So I can see her having a whole slew of nicknames, like The Dark Queen, The She-Devil Queen, The Tempest Queen (since that’s what Gravener always compared her temper to), and all of them strike fear into the heart of the goblins, which is just how they like it. 

Also, I might as well mention that since Marianne is officially Queen now in Strange Hearts & Wild Things, I’m not sure what title Dagda would hold. Would he be The King Father now?

On the topic of people hoping for a CaptainSwan pregnancy - it really reminds me of when the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge first got back from their honeymoon a few years ago and the magazines instantly launched into extreme pregnancy speculations, like, they literally just got married, we know the endgame is "heir and a spare", but chill. I think it's a similar thing in the OUAT fandom, mistaking a relationship for a narrative.

Oh God, right? I hate tabloids/paps for this exact reason. And Catherine’s super skinny just like JMO too, so if she breathed with her stomach then the paps would latch onto that “BABY BUMPPPPPPPP!!!!!!!111111!!!!” kind of just like this fandom

JMO pointed that ridiculousness out last year too. I’m not looking back a year in her Twitter to find it, but it was something along the lines of “weird how people think breathing = baby”. I remember seeing that and going ‘yikes’ and feeling such second-hand embarrassment that she felt the need to say something about the ridiculousness of it all.

And you know what? It’s fine to want a CS baby. I would like the happily ever after “they’re family and look at these two broken people coming together and making each other whole with their love and their togetherness and making their own family” package too. They can adopt or just have Henry or have their own baby or go to space and colonize Mars with a brood of magic-space-pirate babies or whatever.

But it’ll happen when it happens. And it’s always around the finale that this kicks into overdrive and it’s always wrong and people get so disappointed every time. I would honestly rather that, if we did have a baby storyline here (and we have had two babies recently that have been... handled interestingly.... so maybe hold off on the CS baby) we get sidelined by it with zero outward physical signs and it’s... I dunno... a surprise? And absolutely not right now when we have had so much shit happen. Let them breathe and relax for a little while before going into baby insanity.

So Katy, I was wondering, can you recommend any Sailor Moon bloggers who aren't totally against Crystal at this point? All my old faves are really unhappy with it and it's bringing down my happy SMC vibes. :(
