Who is Gothel’s eldest daughter?
Ah so the eldest daughter we know of in my DisneyVerse is Azalea. Her eldest daughter ever? Who knows, she's had a looot of tossed away kids over the years :p
Even if the entire "Cassandra is Gothel's daughter" storyline leaded to the weakest and rushed arc of RTA imho, Disney really broke a lot of walls there. For the first time Disney gave us an abusive BIOLOGICAL parent who doesn't love her child and doesn't redeem herself in any way. The closer thing we had until this moment was the deadbeat father of Jim in Treasure Planet, and we don't really know enough about him, we just can suppose he left because he chose adventure to family, but who knows. It's cool for Disney finally admitted even biological parents can be assholes, not only uncles and stepmothers. (And yeah, in the various sequels of Cinderella we see Tremaine being a bad mother even for Anastasia, but Gothel seems more powerful because she isn't just generically a villain who happened to be a mother, she is a villain as a mother).
So.. let me get this straight: If Gothel was a sorceress.. does this mean that Cassandra is one as well?

summary: Eugene had no reason to be this worried. Besides, you know, how Rapunzel had run away somewhere without telling anyone first thing in the morning. Or how some kids were talking about some "ghost" they had encountered that sounded scarily like Gothel, or how Cass-no, Cassandra now, was nowhere to be found, or how it had been hours and Rapunzel still wasn’t back. Nope, Eugene was fine; Rapunzel could handle herself; the sun was going down and Rapunzel was still missing but that was fine. Of course.
Maybe he had some right to be worried.
A.N: i read this yesterday because i was browsing the tag for the episode “a tale of two sisters” and like, shit guys. this is one of the best fics i’ve seen for highlighting how much of rapunzel’s accommodating behavior is the result of a life-time of being forced into it by living with an abuser.
eugene’s just over here freaking out that cassandra DID THAT and rapunzel’s like “well she’s under a lot of stress” and he’s like “BLONDIE SHE LEFT YOU TO DIE! PLEASE STOP APOLOGIZING FOR HER!”
