Scandinavian Crust

This is an absolutely spectacular shot of several stages of crust formation from Kosterhavet National Park in Sweden.

The oldest rocks in this area are highly metamorphosed sedimentary rocks. They are the dark and white, wavy-interfingered rocks. Those rocks started off as sediments and then were caught up in one of several orogenies, or mountain building events, that occurred between 1 and 2 billion years ago.

The sediments are 1.7 billion years old. They were deposited in a basin and then rapidly incorporated in a growing mountain range where they were buried and heated. The heat at the bottom of the mountain range was enough that the rocks began melting. The dark part is metamorphosed gneiss that reached the upper part of the amphibolite facies; the light part is felsic minerals that melted out of the sediments and basically formed a granite. This type of high grade metamorphic rock, heated to such a high grade that they begin melting, is called a migmatite.

This migmatite is cross-cut by a dolerite dike. Dolerite is a term for a mafic, basaltic igneous rock that has slightly crystallized. Basalts are low viscosity and high temperature, so if basalt is trapped underground in a dike it starts to form tiny crystals. This slightly crystalline rock is called a dolerite, or a diabase elsewhere in the world.

Sweden represents at least 2 characterized orogenies, the Gothian orogeny starting about 1.7 billion years ago and the Sveconorwegian Orogeny from about 1.3 to 0.9 billion years ago. These orogenies probably represent continued subduction along the coast of Baltica. This long-lived subduction built mountain ranges, sent magmatic rocks like the dolerite from the mantle up into the crust, and eventually culminated in the assembly of the supercontinent Rodinia.

Fire Bell :It's a popular sport in planet Goth but also a dangerous one. It's like baseball but the balls on fire. They wear a lot of protective gear to protect themselves from the fire. But when the ball goes out of bounds people don't like it especially when they get hit by the ball. Princess Mari was playing with one of the maids Maya and it went out of bounds and hit someone. The ball hit the eye and they had to be sent to the hospital imediately, Mari sold some of her stuff to give money to the person that got injured. It turned out to be the royal scientist Will. Mari said " I'm so sorry about your eye", "here's money and a robotic eye". The robotis eye was red. Will said" Do you know what red means in my culture?". "It's the colour of evil, so you better get me a different colour eye". Mari said " I'm sorry but there is no robotic eyes available for 2 months because of the war and the soldiers need them. You can do a request but it will take a long time. "Will said " Fine I'll keep that robotic eye I don't want to ruin the soldiers chance of getting one." Will said when she was about to leave" You better make sure the ball don't get out of bounds servant girl". Then Mari's Mother came looking mad at her. And said " Princess Mari you won't be having dessert of 2 years and a time out for 2 months for what you did!". Mari said "I'm so sorry Mother and I will make sure it won't happen again" and she bowed down. After Mafalda left Will said " Sorry about calling you a servant girl, I thought you were a servant not the Princess., but I heard you are not like the other Gothen queens and princesses."

Name Delina Age 4 million she died at 5 Race Gothian She's the daughter of Matilda and Engelbert. She's the second child, her older sister is Bertha. Matilda married Engelbert for politics to continue the Gothian royal family. He's from a Nobel family. She's the niece of Mahin. She was the Princess of planet Goth. Matilda was busy being Queen she barely spent time with her children They mostly were cared for by their Father and Matilda's magic puppet Agata. Matilda recognized she was giving them the same childhood she had as getting cared for by a magic puppet instead of her Mom. Matilda noticed people were going missing at planet Goth and sent her people to look for another planet to live. She's looking for a planet that has a space ship to take the children with her to look for another planet. Matilda told Bertha and Delina to stay put no matter what happens in the castle. Delina saw a Lunarian tell her to come and ignored what her Mom told her. He introduced himself as her Grandpa. And she said to him " but you're not Gothian". He said to her " I'm your step-Grandpa, I came here to give you a special present." And  he opened up the cooler and pulled out purple ice cream. "This ice cream is a special ice cream from planet Luna made with Di fruit" he said. She took it and ate a bit of it. And she said " Grandpa I don't feel so good". And started to get dizzy. He said to her " you will feel better when you get up" with a evil smile. She woke up to be a Lunarian robot LR2.

Name Belinda  Age 4 million Race Gothian She was originally from planet Goth and then moved to Earth after the ice age. One day she was out shopping in her home planet and she got knocked out and when she woke up she was in a lab all tied up. She was knocked out by Mahin's Dad and was taken to planet Luna to his lab. She heard a door open and saw a Lunarian with a lab coat. She saw he had two different eye colours, one green and one red. He started up the machine that was the eye remover. He said "she was going to be one of the test subjects for the robotic eyes" He's making a robotic eye for his daughter. He then opened up a box that had two turquoise robotic eyes. Then he removed one eye with the eye remover. After he removed the eye he went on his laptop and waited for the eye to stop bleeding. When it stopped bleeding he put the robotic eye in. Then he left for a bit. Then Mahin's magic puppet came in. And tried to get her untied. And told her " escape while you can while I try to hold him off". But Mahin's dad came in and tried to tie her up again. Then Mahin's puppet attacked him and punched him in the face. She escaped while the fight was going on and she went into the temple of the Lunarian goddess of the moon. She stayed there till her vision got better. After Belinda escaped  Mahin's dad wasn't happy with the magic puppet and said  "I'm not going to kill you because Mahin's mother created you for her". He said "I'm going to do something much worse". He locked her inside a coffin. Mahin's father later said to Mahin that her magic puppet left her and that she never cared about her and she only did it because her creator told her to do that job. She was only roleplaying to care for her and suggested a robotic heart surgery and once she gets done everyone will love her. Mahin's magic puppet was in the coffin for 4 million years. Mahin just assumed it was tools and stuff. While Andrew was looking at the supply closet at the white house he saw the coffin wiggling. And he dared his younger twin cowardly brother Malfred to open it. He nervously opened it. Mahin's magic puppet picked up Malfred and flew out the window with him she thought Malfred was Mahin. Andrew panicked and went to get Annabelle and other Mahin workers to look for him.  Belinda later found out Matilda  the former queen of planet Goth was also on Earth with her daughter. Her robotic eye can tell the temperature and turns to headlight mode once night comes. She can tell who the murder is with her robotic eye. Her robotic eye almost has the same abilities of Mahin's robotic eyes.
