Virtue names are a huge part of tiefling culture. Tiefs are encouraged to change their names into something that symbolizes them. They usually choose their first name when they’re 8-10. Their given name usually reflects their parent’s/grandparent’s culture (the one that’s not tiefling).
For example, a baby tief born to an elf and tief might be named “T’rael”. When they’re ten, they’re v happy and choose the name “Joy.” When they’re 14 they might choose “Rebellion” bc fuck yeah! When they’re 18 they might be getting some wanderlust and choose “Adventure.” When they’re 30 they have a kid and name themselves “Warmth.” When they’re 70 they might choose “Wisdom” and so on.
Tieflings are usually the most knowledgeable about other races’ cultures. They know their parents’ and grandparents’ cultures, but also make a point of learning their friends’, because they’re used to feeling somewhat alienated. If you get 5 tieflings into a room, chances are they’ll know the traditions/holidays/etc of the majority of other races.
Tiefs also have a habit of worshipping the lesser known or more “controversial” gods. They’ll also worship demons/devils in the place of gods as well.
A lot of older tiefs go out and find baby tiefs who were born to another race (especially ones where they’re the only tief in the community) and help inform the parents and provide some comfort to the baby tiefs.
A lot of tiefs form neighborhoods in big cities (kinda like lgbt neighborhoods) along with aasimar and genasi as they’re born from Powerful beings and can feel out of place with their parent/grandparents’ communities. these neighborhoods of tiefs/aasimar/genasi start to create their Own culture that’s mixed in with the cultures they’re descended from

Tiefs in these neighborhoods often have different ways of presenting themselves/where they’re from!
Piercings all the way up the ear symbolize elven heritage. Horn coverings with precious gems symbolize dwarven heritage. Horns capped with silver symbolize halfling heritage, while gold caps symbolize gnomish. Tieflings who were thrown out/have bad blood with their families or cultures often chip off a piece of the tip of their horns. etc
Tiefs share tips on clothes!!! Having wildly different horn shapes/tails/goat legs along with other racial traits from their parents/grandparents can make fashion Hard so they share tips on what works best. Tief shops open up that are strictly to help design fashion for other tiefs!
