ok ... yeah. here’s the story.

this kid interned where i work this summer and i say kid but he was 21. and he told me that the summer before he started college he was living in an apartment with a roommate and all he ate for an entire summer was white rice. i don’t know why. he had a job. his mom is a college professor. he had some money or at least access to resources. but he just... ate only white rice. for three months. then when he started college that fall he was... very sick. like he would throw up a lot, and just felt awful all the time. so he went to health services on campus and they did some tests or whatever and they were like “yeah, you... are severely vitamin C deficient. like, very close to actual scurvy. eat some fucking.. fruit.” and they had to put him on a really extreme vitamin regiment. 

also his older sister is dating keanu reeves.
