People can only meet you, as far as they've met themselves. - What do I mean by this? Well, from my experience, people who aren't in the same place in life (mentally, spiritually or emotionally) have a harder time understanding one another. - So what happens when people can't comprehend one another? They repel one another, like the reverse side of magnets. - You see, you could have all the same common interests that attract you to another person (ex: books, sports, art, passions, etc.) but if you aren't in the same mindset (when it comes to growth or even timing in life), those common interests sometimes just aren't strong enough. So what does one do? One word, patience. - Patiently be there for these people. Unfortunately you cannot be in their day to day...yup it sucks.. but you need to work on yourself first, while they work on themselves. - Is this hard? Hell fucking yes it is! Believe me I KNOW! Especially when all you want to do is share what's going on in your life. But unfortunately you've got to do it from a distance, on the bleachers... top row of the stadium. Or you'll just end up doing more harm to yourself than good. - You have to have faith that just being there, patiently, will one day reward you with that amazing connection again. - So I raise my water glass and say a toast to patience. Literally found this tiny Jesus in a bouncy house. Well mini me did.. here's how this all happened... - Yesterday ,at my nieces birthday party, mini me ran up to me wearing a blue bracelet that says strength. She said she found it in a bouncy house. Then not even 5 minutes later, she runs up to me carrying this tiny figurine. - Mini me: "momma! I found Jesus!" Me: "huh?" Mini me: "look Jesus!" Me: "holy hell, it really is Jesus!" - Honestly I couldn't stop laughing. First off, of all the places to find a tiny Jesus I NEVER thought it would be at a birthday party, in a bouncy house! - Second, that my daughter (who played baby Jesus for a Christmas pageant when she was 6 months young), would know who Jesus is but that I was the first person she showed her "treasure finds" to. - But I think the overall message the universe is sending my way, is to have strength and faith in myself. - To not just be fearless but to fear-LESS. - I'm on the right path. Things like this just don't happen unless there's a message behind it. Right? BE THERE FOR THEM! Who are you to judge who they are and how they are handling their life hurdles? - But with all the losses I've experienced, I've gained more. What's that saying "When one door closes, another opens"? Apply that to my relationships with people. - In my case, it wasn't doors that closed, it was narrow windows and their narrow ass views. But wanna know what opened? Not doors, but WALLS bursted open! - Most of those walls are amazing people on my coaching team. - It's amazing how you've never met some people face to face, but they can have more of a place in your heart and world, than those who've been part of your entire life! - So in case anyone else is going through some shit, know that you aren't alone. Know that it does get better.
