A young woman born with HIV allowed me to make a movie of a visit with her for a meeting recently. The movie was a huge hit because all of the top researchers in the country were able to see first hand what a patient on an intensive HIV study goes through. These kids have been doing studies their whole lives and it's because of them that we know so much about treatment and prevention of HIV transmission. They teach us about the reality of living with HIV in our world and all that comes with that diagnoses. I filmed her all day and so she wanted to film me. So, this is what she sees when I walk through the door. While our visits are not always happy, we are so fortunate that we have so much to celebrate in our fight against HIV/AIDS.
