Dopios Days in Thessaloniki

Members of the dopios team, spent some days in Thessaloniki, this beautiful town with a double goal!

To represent authentic traveling in a tourism conference and meet up with our local community!

Mr. Boutaris, mayor of Thessaloniki and his team, organised a great initiative, a two- day conference around tourism perspectives in the city and dopios was there! Alexandros Trimis, founder and CEO of dopios.com, presented an authentic way of traveling and highlighted the great importance of collaborative consumption nowadays!

Among other great and well respected guests, Maya Tsoklis, the great world traveler and a talented journalist who has always been challenging the tourism sector in Greece! Mrs. Tsoklis strongly believes that local products can easily become ambassadors of the same location! 

A great business initiative, followed by an awesome cool fun and recreational day with the local community of our dopios! Dopios team, organised a day full of outdoor activities to get to know each other much better! It was magnificent! 

A road trip of around 1 hour, led us to Goumenissa, a beautiful village outside Thessaloniki. We first visited the winery of Aidarinis, where Christos gave us a wonderful tour, while explaining the process of wine making! 

We had the chance to taste some extremely good wines, of local grape varieties produced in Aidarinis winery!

We examined the appearance, we got introduced to the aromas of the wine, we experienced "in mouth" sensations and got to feel the "finish", the aftermath of each wine!

A great tasting flight! A full bodied experience ! 

We walked by the river for about an hour, after Maria's guidance, in a breathtaking forest full of wild herbs, breathtaking trees and interesting animal footprints... Oh what a refreshing walk! 

We enjoyed a typical pic nic in the middle of the forest, in the crossroad that connects the two rivers of the area! Amazing scenery to enjoy some fresh sandwiches, little hot dogs and great wine along with members of the dopios community ;-) 

Archery in the woods, in a forest makes you feel a bit like Robin Hood! We did get that feeling, since Derek, gave us the chance and showed us how to fire our arrows towards a common goal!

We definitely nailed it!;-)

Dopios days will keep happening all around the world! Stay tuned, for our next big community event!
