Ingredients: 4 hot dog buns. 4 gourmet sausages e.g., bratwurst, chorizo. 1 red onion, thinly sliced. 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese. 1 cup sauerkraut. 1/4 cup Dijon mustard. 1/4 cup mayonnaise. 1 tablespoon olive oil. Salt and pepper to taste.
Instructions: Preheat grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Brush sausages with olive oil and grill until cooked through, about 8-10 minutes, turning occasionally. Toast hot dog buns on the grill for 1-2 minutes until lightly browned. In a small bowl, mix Dijon mustard and mayonnaise together. Spread mustard-mayo mixture inside each bun. Place grilled sausages in the buns. Top with shredded cheddar cheese, sauerkraut, and thinly sliced red onion. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve immediately and enjoy!
