Send "🐣" to meet my muse as a child.
The cabin in these woods was so far away from anything else. Leon had been sent there by Barry, in an attempt to save his life.
It was quiet there. Lonely, too. But also calm. Far away from everything else. From the horrors of the world.
But it also meant Leon’s own thoughts and memories could haunt him perfectly well.
Like the small, quick steps of a child running over wooden boards.
Luis didn’t know, why he was here. Or in what form – hallucination, mold or ghost. He was seemingly uncaring, that he had died years ago, as a 28 year old down in the mines of Valdelobos, with just Leon at his side. He just knew that he was here to help a friend.
So of course, he grinned at Leon widely, when the blond finally found him, sitting on a carte at the back of the cabin, using a knife to carve a figure out of wood.
“Ahí estás!”, Luis jumped from the crate and held the carved figure out to Leon – a little misshapen wolf, “Come on, you’re late! My abuelo always said that a walk through the woods is the best to clear one’s mind, eh? So, no more putting that off. I even made you a good luck charm!”
