GOWP#3: Call for Submissions
We are now taking submissions of poetry and fiction for our third zine which is scheduled for release in Autumn 2015.
General guidelines:
-Submissions close on Friday May 22nd.
-We will try our best to get back to everyone, but if you don’t hear from us by early July you can presume your work was not accepted this time.
-Please title e-mail submissions as ‘GOWP THREE SUBMISSION’
- Send submissions as a word file or pasted into the body of your email.
-Work should be previously unpublished.
-We’re cool with simultaneous submissions as long as you’re sound enough to let us know straight away if the piece has been taken on elsewhere.
-Copyright to all work stays with the author.
-As we're a small independent magazine, we cannot currently offer any payment for work.
- International submissions are welcome, but we don’t publish work in translation at the present time. The zine will be broadly English language.
Fiction:
Due to space restrictions, fiction submissions should be no longer than 2,500 words. Please send a maximum of 2 short stories or 3/4 pieces of flash fiction to [email protected].
Poetry:
Please send a maximum of 6 poems to [email protected].
Essays; Non-fiction:
Please send a maximum of two essays to [email protected]
Illustrations:
We are seeking artists to collaborate with poets and writers to provide accompanying illustrations for various pieces. If you are interested in working with us, send us a mail at [email protected]
