Something I didn't notice before...
@eltristan reblogged an old post of mine today. I did not notice that the locomotive in the third image of the post was a bit of a rarity.
C&O number 3900, lead unit on a westbound train, turns out to the class unit for the railroad, and it's a GP39. The Chesapeake & Ohio had only 20 of these—and there were only 23 made in total.
The other thing I want to do here is clean this image up a bit, add some real blacks into it (as I used to open shadows too much). Not the best images of a rare loco, as a roster shot would be better.
