The Performance Nutrition Expert (PNE) Level-1, with the ISSN-SNS certification. The SNS stands for Sports Nutrition Specialist from the International Society of Sports Nutrition (ISSN). It has been one of the leading international certifications for coaches in sports nutrition for the past 19years. This certification is for personal trainers or other fitness professionals who do not hold a 4¬year university/college degree. Hopeful Green Meetings

I love Green gatherings. Meetings of geographically disparate people with, not a homogeneous, but a shared hope and will for action towards a progressive, un-injust and un-unsustainable society- they're really exciting.

There's a mixture of self-criticism and morale-building involved, reminding us all of our real goals and values, while giving us parts of a blueprint of how to get there. It makes you want to get involved and to help, as much as you can.

I was at the Green Foundation Ireland's Summer School over the weekend- there were talks and discussions with really impressive Green figures, like Jean Lambert MEP, John Barry, Maggie Chapman, Erica Meijers, Maria Wetterstrand, Benoit Lechat, and a lot more. As you can probably tell, we had guests from across Western Europe; academics and politicians from (not exclusively) a raft of Green Parties; EWGP, GPNI, SGP, GroenLinks, Ecolo, and Miljöpartiet (who came second in Sweden in their European elections recently- congratulations on that!)

Having so many Greens discussing ideas, inspiring each other, is so encouraging for our futures, while reinforcing the fact that we need to act on our plans to achieve equality and sustainability.

Not that I don't have regrets about the event- apart from the fact that there was more to say from every talk (which I suppose is a positive thing!), there are a few things I personally wish I'd done differently- though I got chatting to a few very interesting people at the conference, there were times I wished I'd got talking to more- especially the Young Greens and the mainland European Greens, who I didn't get talking to much at all.

I also missed the opportunity to join some Greens in going on the Unite Against Racism march in Belfast, which I would have loved to do.

Anyway, besides those things I regret not doing differently myself, it was a real good weekend- really educational, really inspiring, and really encouraging for our futures in Northern Ireland and in Europe.
