Start of my internship at La Mosca
First day at La Mosca was quite a bit different as I first thought it would be. After a short introduction to the colleagues they gave me a quick briefing on the project I would be working on.
After the quick briefing it was time to start working on the project. What they wanted me to do is make a "cleaner/less funnier/a bit less over the top" design for a game they already made a design for. This "cleaner" version of the game it's focus is more towards businesses that want to do team building instead of youth organizations.
After viewing all of the game screens of the "fun" version i've started thinking about how I could make this more cleaner yet still having a level of fun, what colors, fonts, what style, ...
While I was viewing their fun design and looking at the mock-up for how the flow was i've noticed some strange things in the flows that I thought were a bit "off".
When I talked to Kristof about the things I found strange in the flow we've noticed there's been a miss communication between Kirstof and Yvonne (the designer). After some more talking and thinking about the flow there was a major issue in their Shoot/Throw functionality. Since I wanted to test the full shoot functionality I first started designing this and while designing this I noticed that instead of 3 clicks this could be reduced to 2 clicks.
At the end of this week I showed my designs to Kristof and Yvonne, they both thought that the changes I made to the flow were good but that the design was a bit too "clean".
I sure had a quite busy first week yet I still have a feeling that there will be way more busy weeks coming up!
