AJ from Great Pottery Throwdown is a trans icon and Tumblr should be obsessed with them.
Ryan Barrett
I always love when Rich the kiln man explains stuff about his work and that they really treat him like the expert he obviously is. Also he seems nice and he’s so handsome. I was really happy to see him again on the show =)
and I don’t know since when I care that much for ceramics but some of the effects (ryan’s pots and sponge challenge stuff and Nam’s pot with the black surface and the pink cracks coming through that looked soooo cool) and shapes are just so damn amazing and I just really love watching that show. Also I’m still amazed how Cait is pronounced like I thought it would be like Kate.
Can we talk about The Great Pottery Throw Down?
It’s literally Great British Bake Off but ceramics.
If I only watch British home ec competitions for the rest of my life I will die happy.
ME: Goes to watch PureTM BBC Pottery show.
GREAT POTTERY THROW DOWN:
me watching these potters struggle to burnish when theyve got terra sig. on the pots: .... what???
