Frohe Weihnachten - Happy Hanukkah - Merry Christmas
Wenn unser Tannenbaum sprechen könnte, hätte er einiges zu erzählen; von Weihnachtsstress und Diskussionen, was wir an Heilig Abend essen und von Debatten mit wie viel Weihnachtsschmuck er behangen werden soll; auch von Kabelsalat und kaputten Weihnachtskugeln; von Entscheidungen über die Kleidung, die getragen wird und von der Auswahl der Musik, die sich jedes Jahr anders gestaltet.
Doch nach all dem, wenn Heiligabend endlich da ist, würde er davon erzählen, dass sich der ganze Stress gelohnt hat, die Entscheidungen die richtigen waren, wir uns wieder vertragen haben und das Essen genießen.
Er würde erzählen, dass wir ihn bestaunt und gelobt haben; dass er uns durch das gemeinsame Schmücken wieder vereint hat und dass er das Herzstück des Zimmers ist, das Weihnachten komplett macht.
If our Christmas tree could talk, it would have a lot to say: about Christmas stress and discussions about what we're going to eat on Christmas Eve, and debates about how many decorations to hang on it; about tangled cables and broken baubles; about decisions on what clothes to wear and choosing the music, which is different every year.
But after all that, when Christmas Eve finally arrives, it would say that all the stress was worth it, that the decisions were the right ones, that we got along again and enjoyed the meal.
It would say that we admired and praised it; that it brought us together again as we decorated it together and that it is the centerpiece of the room that makes Christmas complete.
