Have you ever seen those videos on YouTube where people take old, rusty, broken stuff and just make it all shiny and new? That's what I headcanon Kid does in his workshop. He finds these random, discarded things and is like "I can fix that." I also headcanon that Kid likes to draw, mostly machinery and death weapons but if he were alone he could draw from life pretty well. Maybe a flower field or even just the crew. It's a well kept secret no one mentions this lest they have a death wish.

I actually agree with this just in general as a HC for Kid. He probably has piles and piles of junk that he has taken and fixed and then cannibalized for other things?

But yeah, I definitely can see him fixing up shit that everyone else thinks is beyond repair. Probably takes it as a personal challenge.

And also yes! I bet he is great at technical drawings and has a load of schematics and blue prints of cool shit he has designed.

I think he would secretly be really self conscious about the fact that hes good at drawing other things too though. But hes super good at it.

Kid:

This man needs Killer to tell him tosleep, so he's not exactly the most useful. He does worry (although,he'll deny if you ask him,) to the point where he will drag hispartner into bed, aggressively cuddling until one of them fallsasleep (Kid, most likely.)

He tries though, and we can't fault himfor that.

Zoro:

I envy Zoro's ability to sleep. While Ido think he's not able to get the whole 'can't sleep. (“Just try.”“ZORO, I HAVE BEEN TRYING FOR ONE WEEK STRAIGHT.”) He'll try tosoothe his partner out, and hey, he's all up for staying up late ifit helps his partner finally relax out. If all else fails, he'll tirethem out. In many, many ways.

Bellamy:

Sweet Hyena baby also has insomnia,seriously. He can't relax well, nor sleep well. So he's made it hislife mission to get himself, and his partner to bed. Teas, heatingpads, weird indie movies that are 'proven' to get you to sleep,whatever he can get his hands on. He tries his best, but maybe hisown hyperactivity kinda messes it up, just a bit.

Hawkins:

He's the best to have around if youhave insomnia. Being able to help them run out their energy, calmingthem down, or simply just chatting with them. He's scary good atthat, and if his soothing voice doesn't put you to sleep, idk whatwill. Please keep spaghetti man in your heart.

I feel like Leopardstar is the kind of cat to turn her grief into anger. She can work with anger. Grief feels... Like a smothering blanket. It doesn't feel productive. I imagine she was a little more laid back (only a little!) when Silverstream was an apprentice but then she had her kits and Leopardstar didn't get to say sorry. The amount of regret and grief she must be feeling is immense. And since Silverstream isn't around anymore to talk to, she has to find someone to blame or she'll go crazy.

See, the problem with asks like this is that they're excellent analysis and theorizing of characters, but any response I as the writer could give would spoil something, so I just have to smile and nod silently or say something like, "Oh, I'm so curious how you'll take the rest of this book!", or give a fucking plant fact, and it kills my heart dead.

I'm rewatching Courage the Cowardly Dog and I can only think of WindClan or ShadowClan meeting this terrified little dog and they're prepared for Charred Legacy to repeat. Only for the dog to scream in fear of the cats and somehow hurt himself trying to get away. The clans don't try to make friends with Courage obviously but they find it strange for a dog to run in fear of cats

Another ask that I hope will be relevant on my end soon but what kind of pattern is Firestar? I've seen conflicting statements that he's a ticked tabby with Somali or Abyssinian in his bloodline

I like to imagine him as a heterozygous ticked tabby, half Somali from Sparks, yes. As for his color, it can depend. His mother Nutmeg is a tortie point moggy, and since she doesn't show up in the story, she can give anything to him. She could give him black, she could give him that lucky rare chance for cinnamon, or he can be properly ginger-based. Regardless, he and his sister got their dad's ticking and high roufusing (ruddy undercoat).
