A/N: In honor of Dean’s birthday, here’s a quick little one shot I wrote for him! Hope you enjoy! ;)
The familiar hum of the bunker’s ventilation system was the only sound in Dean’s dimly lit room. Moonlight bled through the high, narrow window, casting long shadows across the worn quilt. You sat beside Dean on the edge of his bed, the weight of your decision pressing against your ribs like a second heartbeat. Months of shared hunts, quiet meals in the kitchen, stolen kisses in library corners, and nights tangled together had built something real, something that felt like home anchored to this gruff, beautiful hunter. Yet, one barrier remained – your true nature, hidden beneath borrowed grace and human guise.
"Dean?" Your voice was barely a whisper, breaking the comfortable silence that had settled after a shared beer.
He turned his head, the green of his eyes softened in the low light, a faint smile touching his lips as he reached over to tuck a strand of hair behind your ear. "Yeah, sweetheart?"
You took a shaky breath, your grace humming beneath your skin, restless. "There’s... something I haven’t shown you. Something important."
His playful expression faded into gentle concern. He shifted to face you fully, his large, warm hand covering yours where it rested on the quilt. His thumb traced soothing circles over your knuckles. "Hey. You know you can tell me anything. Or show me anything." His voice was low, an anchor in your sudden sea of nerves. "After everything we've seen... after everything we are to each other... nothing scares me off."
You squeezed his hand, drawing strength from his steady presence – the man who faced down Hell with a shotgun and a smart mouth, but whose touch could be impossibly tender. "It’s not fear of scaring you off," you admitted, meeting his gaze. "It’s... letting you see the part of me that’s still tied to... everything that went wrong. Everything you’ve fought against." Heaven’s bureaucracy, the corruption, the betrayals – they hung unspoken between you.
Dean’s jaw tightened momentarily, a flicker of old pain and anger crossing his features – the legacy of angels like Zachariah and Naomi. But then his eyes softened again, focused solely on you. "You’re not them," he stated firmly, conviction ringing in his voice. His other hand came up to cradle your cheek. "You’re you. The angel who chose us. Who chose me. That’s all that matters." He leaned in, pressing a soft, lingering kiss to your forehead. "Show me."
Nodding, you drew another breath, centering yourself. You closed your eyes, focusing inward. It wasn't just a physical unveiling; it was an act of profound trust, stripping away the last veil between your celestial core and his human soul. You felt the familiar, immense pressure build within your shoulder blades, a release both terrifying and freeing.
There was no blinding light, no grand fanfare. Instead, it was a whisper of displaced air, a subtle shimmer in the moonlit gloom as your wings unfolded.
They were vast – spanning nearly the width of the room – feathers not of blinding white, but of iridescent silver and dove grey, shimmering with faint opalescence like captured starlight. The primary feathers were long and strong, tapering elegantly, while the secondaries held a softer, cloud-like texture. They rustled softly with your slightest breath, a sound like wind through ancient pines.
Dean froze.
The beer bottle he’d been idly holding slipped from his fingers, thudding dully onto the rug. He didn't seem to notice. His entire body went utterly still, his breath catching audibly in his throat. The look on his face wasn't just surprise; it was pure, unadulterated awe, hitting him like a physical blow. He stared, wide-eyed, his gaze tracing the impossible arc of shimmering feathers from their base near your shoulders to their majestic tips brushing the floor.
A low, involuntary whistle escaped him, rough with disbelief. "Okay... wow." The word hung in the air, inadequate yet utterly sincere.
Then, the hunter instinct – or perhaps the lover’s caution – kicked in. The awe sobered into something deeper, more intense. He rose slowly from the bed, his movements uncharacteristically reverent. He stepped closer, stopping just within reach, his eyes dark pools reflecting the ethereal shimmer of your wings. The air hummed with celestial energy, a static charge that lifted the hairs on his arms.
His hands, warm and calloused from years gripping steering wheels and weapons, lifted hesitantly. They hovered near your waist, not touching you yet, his gaze locked onto the powerful junction where wing met back. "You good?" he asked, his voice thick with emotion you’d rarely heard – raw wonder laced with profound respect. "With me touching... them?"
The vulnerability in his question mirrored your own. "Yes," you breathed, the word imbued with trust. "Yes, Dean. Please."
Slowly, carefully, as if handling spun glass or sacred scripture, his fingertips brushed the very base of your left wing, right where the strongest flight muscles anchored.
His touch was feather-light at first, an exploration. You felt the warmth of his skin through the sensitive coverts, a shiver racing down your spine that had nothing to do with cold and everything to do with his nearness, his reverence.
He exhaled a shaky breath as his fingers traced the dense layer of downy feathers near your spine, then trailed along the sturdy arch of a primary covert. His touch grew bolder, mapping the powerful sinew and bone hidden beneath the softness, feeling the latent strength coiled within each glorious limb. His other hand rose, mirroring the path on your right wing.
"You feel that?" he murmured, his voice rough with awe. "That hum... like standing next to a live wire wrapped in velvet." He gently smoothed a slightly ruffled secondary feather back into place with infinite care. His eyes were impossibly dark as he looked up at you, not at your wings, but into your eyes. A lifetime of cynicism about Heaven warred with the tangible miracle before him – his miracle.
He stepped even closer, his body now almost flush against yours. One hand remained resting gently on the sensitive base of your wing, while the other slid around your waist, pulling you against him with familiar possessiveness mixed with newfound reverence. He buried his face in the curve of your neck for a moment, breathing you in – human skin and something ancient and starlit.
When he lifted his head again, his expression was raw, stripped bare. He looked from your wings back to your face, his gaze holding yours with an intensity that stole your breath.
"Never thought," he whispered, his voice thick with an emotion you couldn't quite name – gratitude? Humility? Overwhelming love? "Never thought I'd get this close to anything like Heaven." His thumb brushed your jawline. "But this... you... this ain't just Heaven." He leaned in until his forehead rested against yours, his breath mingling with yours. "This is everything I never let myself hope for." He kissed you then – deeply, possessively, yet with a tenderness that spoke of awe-struck devotion, sealing a vow written not in words, but in starlight and trust against the familiar walls of the bunker.
The kiss melted you utterly, your wings giving a soft, involuntary flutter against his exploring hands. The sensation – his lips, his fingers tracing the powerful arch where wing met spine – sent cascading shivers through your grace, a ripple of pure, radiant feeling.
Dean pulled back just enough to break the kiss, his eyes wide, searching yours intently in the moonlit dimness. His thumb brushed your lower lip, catching the shared breath. "Whoa," he murmured, a hint of that familiar Winchester awe mixed with sudden concern. He carefully ran his palm over the broad expanse of one primary covert again, his touch deliberate and reverent.
Another intense shiver racked your body, sharper this time, drawing a deep, tremulous breath from your lungs. You felt heat flood your face, creeping down your neck in a vivid blush.
Dean instantly pulled his hand away as if burned. "Too much? Did I hurt you?" he asked, breathless, his arm still a possessive band around your waist, holding you steady.
You shook your head, unable to meet his intense gaze for a second, focusing instead on the comforting solidity of his chest beneath your cheek. "No… no, Dean. It’s not pain." You took another shaky breath, the blush deepening. "They’re… incredibly sensitive. More than skin. It’s like… like they’re directly wired to my grace. To how I feel." You finally dared to look up, meeting his green eyes, now darkened with understanding and a flicker of something hotter. "Every touch… echoes."
A slow, breathtakingly tender smile tugged at the corners of his lips. His gaze dropped to your parted lips, then back up, holding yours captive. He shifted his arm around your waist, tightening his hold possessively, pulling you infinitesimally closer. The soft, downy feathers near his hip brushed against his worn t-shirt with a whispery sound.
"Well then, sweetheart," he rumbled, his voice low and thick as honey, rough with burgeoning desire. His free hand lifted, not towards your wings this time, but to cradle your jaw, his thumb stroking your burning cheek. "How do you feel?"
The question, delivered with that intimate smirk and the weight of his body pressed against yours, unraveled you. Your grace surged, a warm, golden light beginning to pulse faintly beneath your skin, shimmering subtly in the dim room. Your wings gave another soft, resonant rustle, spreading slightly wider behind you, filling the space with their ethereal presence.
"Dean..." His name was a sigh, a confession. You arched instinctively towards his touch, towards *him. "I feel… everything. You. Your hands… your heart… it’s all so loud." Your own hand lifted, trembling slightly, to touch his chest, feeling the strong, rapid beat beneath your palm. "And it feels… perfect. Overwhelming, but perfect."
His responding chuckle was a low vibration against you, pure masculine satisfaction. "That’s my girl," he breathed, leaning in again. This kiss wasn't hesitant. It was deep, claiming, yet infused with that same aching tenderness. His tongue swept against yours, and you met him eagerly, a moan catching in your throat. Your wings, reacting to the surge of intense emotion and pleasure, arched higher, their tips brushing the ceiling, the sensitive inner vanes trembling.
Dean broke the kiss only to trail desperate, open-mouthed kisses down your jaw, your throat. "Show me," he growled against your pulse point, his breath hot. "Show me where it feels best." His hand, large and warm, slid from your waist around to your lower back, then cautiously, so cautiously, glided upwards over the sensitive join of one wing.
A sharp gasp tore from you, your body bowing against his. "Oh! Dean!" His touch there, at the nexus of divine power and nerve endings, was like a live wire connecting directly to your core. Your grace flared brighter, a visible golden halo shimmering around both of you for a moment, bathing the room in soft, celestial light. You felt it reach for him, tendrils of pure, warm energy curling around his wrist, seeping into his skin where he touched you.
He froze, pulling his head back to stare at his hand, then at the light emanating from you. "Holy..." he breathed, wonder overriding lust for a second. He flexed his fingers, watching the golden light cling to them like liquid starlight. "Your grace... I can feel it… flowing through me?"
"It… it responds to feeling," you gasped, overwhelmed by the sensation – his touch on your wings, your grace touching him in return. "Strong feeling. Love… desire… it just… flows." You arched again as his fingers experimentally traced the line again, firmer this time. The reaction was instantaneous – another moan, louder, your grace surging brighter, flowing more strongly into his hand, up his arm. It felt like giving him a piece of your very essence, intimate beyond words.
A groan rumbled deep in Dean’s chest, primal and possessive. "Fuck, that’s..." He watched the light dance on his skin, then looked at your face, flushed and panting, your eyes wide and luminous with grace. He understood. The trust wasn't just physical anymore; it was celestial. Soul-deep.
"That’s it," he murmured, his voice rough with awe and mounting need. His eyes locked with yours, blazing green reflecting your golden light. "Let me feel it all." He deliberately pressed his palm flat against the incredibly sensitive base of your wing, applying firm, steady pressure.
The sensation was blinding. Pure, unadulterated pleasure shot through you like lightning, radiating out from his touch, singing along every feather, vibrating your very core. A cry ripped from your throat, your wings snapping wide open then shuddering violently.
Your grace erupted, a torrent of warm, golden light flooding outwards, enveloping Dean completely. It didn't burn; it filled him, a sensation unlike anything mortal – warmth, power, safety, and an overwhelming wave of you. Love, trust, desperate desire.
Dean gasped, staggering slightly as the force of it hit him. He didn't pull away. He leaned into it, into you. His other hand fisted in your shirt, pulling you impossibly closer against his body. His eyes were wide, dilated, his breathing ragged. You could feel it inside him – his heartbeat syncing with the pulse of your grace, his wonder, his fierce protectiveness, his burning, consuming desire for you, amplified a thousandfold by the divine energy flowing between you.
"Angel..." he rasped, his voice thick with the shared power, trembling slightly. "God, you're beautiful." He lowered his head, capturing your lips in a searing kiss that tasted of shared power and desperate need. His hand on your wing began to move, no longer exploring tentatively, but claiming. He traced the powerful arches, stroked the incredibly soft down beneath the flight feathers, mapped the sensitive tendons and muscles. Each touch sent fresh jolts of pleasure through you, echoed back through the bond of your mingling grace, creating a feedback loop of pure, radiant ecstasy.
Your wings instinctively curled forward, their vast, shimmering expanse forming a soft, protective canopy around him, cocooning you both in a world of rustling feathers, shared breath, and golden celestial light. The bunker faded away. There was only Dean – his touch, his taste, his soul brushing yours with every shared pulse of grace, his awe and desire amplified by your divine power flowing freely between you. It was connection beyond the physical, intimacy that resonated on a celestial level, unlike anything either Heaven or Earth had ever conceived. It was terrifying, overwhelming, and utterly, utterly perfect. His fingers found a particularly sensitive cluster of nerve endings near the apex of your wing, and the resulting cry you made was swallowed by his kiss as he held you close, lost together in the blinding, shared light of grace and desire. Every touch, every shared breath, felt like aligning the stars themselves.
The shared current of grace burned hotter than any hellfire, brighter than any holy light. Dean’s reverent exploration of your wings had ignited a wildfire within you both, an inferno fed by touch and trust and the impossible intimacy of your power flowing freely between you. His large, calloused hand remained pressed firmly against the incredibly sensitive base of your wing, sending continuous waves of near-blinding pleasure radiating through your core. Each stroke, each deliberate press of his fingers against the powerful sinew and downy softness, was like striking a divine tuning fork – the resonance shook you to your very atoms.
You gasped against his lips, your own hands fisting in the soft cotton of his t-shirt, needing to anchor yourself against the tidal wave of sensation. Your hips rocked instinctively, seeking friction against the hard ridge of his erection straining against his jeans, a desperate counterpoint to the celestial symphony playing out through your wings.
"Dean... please," you breathed, the plea ragged and thick with need. "Need you. Now."
He didn't hesitate. His hand left your wing only long enough to fumble frantically with his belt and fly, then yours. The loss of contact made you whimper, but it was brief. Rough, urgent hands pushed fabric aside, and then he was lifting you easily, guiding you down onto him as he settled back more firmly on the edge of the bed.
The moment you sank onto him, taking him deep inside in one smooth motion, the world dissolved into pure, incandescent sensation.
"Mmmm… fuckkk!" Dean moaned, his head snapping back, eyes slamming shut. His hands flew to your hips, fingers digging in possessively, anchoring you as much as steadying himself. The feeling wasn't just physical; it was like being plugged into a live socket of divine energy. Your grace, already surging wildly from his touch on your wings, now poured into him through this new, primal connection. It flooded his veins, supercharging every nerve ending, making the physical joining feel amplified a thousandfold. "Angel... oh god, angel... s'like... lightning inside me..."
You cried out, arching back as he filled you completely. The dual assault was overwhelming – the delicious stretch and friction of him moving deep within you, combined with the unrelenting cascade of pleasure radiating from where his hand had returned to grip the base of your wing. It wasn't just sex; it was possession, worship, a merging of human and celestial so profound it stole your breath.
You began to move. Slowly at first, grinding down onto him, rolling your hips to savor the exquisite friction. Your wings fluttered and trembled uncontrollably behind you with each movement, feathers rustling like frantic whispers.
"Yeah... that's it," Dean groaned, his voice a raw scrape. His eyes flew open, locking onto yours with fierce intensity. His hips bucked upwards to meet your downward stroke, driving himself impossibly deeper. "Ride me... fuck... ride me just like that... show me Heaven..." His praise was guttural, unfiltered. "Look at you... gorgeous... powerful... mine..."
His words, combined with the relentless friction and the electric pulse of shared grace, pushed you higher. Your movements became more urgent, desperate. You rose higher on your knees before slamming back down, taking him to the hilt with each descent. A symphony of sounds filled the room – your gasping breaths punctuated by sharp cries, Dean's deep groans and ragged curses of your name, the frantic rustle of your feathers, and the almost audible hum of your mingling power.
"Oh god..." you gasped out as he hit a spot inside that made stars burst behind your eyelids. "Everything... so...so sensitive" Your grace flared brighter, golden light pulsing visibly now, washing over Dean's sweat-slicked skin, outlining the straining muscles of his neck and shoulders.
"I know, baby, I know," he ground out, his own control fraying fast. He could feel it – the hypersensitivity singing through your connection, the building pressure within you mirrored in his own. One hand slid from your hip around to your lower back, fingers splaying possessively just above the curve of your ass, dangerously close to where your wing joined your body. "Gonna make you fly..."
His thumb pressed hard against that ultra-sensitive nexus while his other hand tightened on your hip, urging you down hard onto him as he thrust up fiercely.
It was the catalyst.
The combined sensation – the deep, perfect friction within you, the targeted pressure on your wing root – detonated something primal and divine. A scream tore from your throat, raw and pure. Your body locked, back arched impossibly as an orgasm unlike any other crashed over you. It wasn't localized; it consumed you whole radiating from your core outwards along every nerve pathway, exploding along every single feather.
Your wings snapped forward violently, their vast, shimmering expanse curling around both of you like a protective, trembling cocoon of silver and starlight. They enveloped Dean completely, brushing against his bare skin, their inner vanes fluttering against his back and shoulders as wave after wave of ecstasy rolled through you.
The sight of you – luminous with golden grace, eyes wide and unseeing in bliss, wings wrapped around him in celestial surrender – combined with the tidal wave of your climax crashing through the shared connection and the vice-like clench of your body around him, shattered Dean utterly.
"Yess.. fuc-Angel!" His roar was pure possession, primal release. His hips slammed up one last time, burying himself to the root as he came violently inside you. His release was a seismic event within him, amplified and echoed by the torrent of your grace still flooding his system. It felt like being unmade and remade in golden fire. He shuddered violently beneath you, his hands gripping you like lifelines as he pulsed within you, emptying himself completely.
The aftermath was a trembling silence punctuated only by ragged gasps. The golden light gradually subsided from a blinding radiance to a soft, warm glow emanating from your skin. Your wings remained curled tightly around him, trembling minutely as the aftershocks continued to ripple through you both. You collapsed forward against his chest, utterly boneless, your face buried in the crook of his neck. You could feel his heart pounding like a drum against your cheek, feel the tremors still running through his powerful frame.
For long moments, neither of you moved. You existed in a hazy cocoon of feathers, shared breath, and the lingering warmth of spent grace and passion. Slowly, shakily, Dean’s arms encircled you completely, pulling you impossibly closer against him. One large hand came up to cradle the back of your head, fingers tangling gently in your hair. The other smoothed slowly, reverently, over the curve of your wing still draped around his shoulder.
He didn't speak immediately. He just held you. Tightly. Protectively. As if you were the most precious thing in any universe.
When he finally spoke, his voice was ruined – rough, thick with emotion, softer than you’d ever heard it.
"Christ," he breathed into your hair, pressing a kiss to your temple. "That was... unbelievable." Another kiss, this time on your forehead. "You are... so fucking amazing." His hand stroked your wing again, a touch so tender it brought fresh tears to your eyes. "Never... never felt anything like that. Not ever." He shifted slightly, just enough to tilt your face up towards his. His green eyes were dark in the low light, stripped bare of all defenses, overflowing with awe and a love so profound it stole your breath all over again.
"I Love you," he whispered, the words raw and utterly sincere. His thumb brushed away a tear you hadn't realized had escaped. "So damn much. My angel." He kissed you then – not with the desperate heat of before, but with a slow, deep tenderness that resonated through every feather and every shared heartbeat. It was a seal on everything that had passed between you – the vulnerability, the ecstasy, the profound trust that had allowed wings and grace to unfold in the sanctuary of his arms.
Wrapped in wings and Dean Winchester’s unwavering embrace, bathed in the soft afterglow of shared power and love, you knew no Heaven had ever offered anything close to this bliss.
