Have you ever made a basket? Rediscovered my ancestral roots Friday night with Grace Houvener, Christy Swartzentruber, and Caleb Vogel. Grace is a friend and neighbor who is a full time basket weaver. We scheduled her to entertain us last night as she taught us how to weave. This was Drake’s idea. Christy asked me this morning what my favorite moment was. I said the fun chatter between us. As Grace examine my progress she would say, “looks good”. Then she would pull out 10 minutes of my work and in 2 minutes fix my mistake. I named mine Case. It just seems like a basket case to me.
