Wales Bonner SS23 by Inès Manai
Modern suiting at its best. Grace Wales Bonner continuously refines the cut and the composition of her clothes. Last year, the British designer was invited by Maria Grazia Chiuri to collaborate with Dior on re-interpreting the Parisian maison's New Look silhouette - and the fruits of that developing expertise are apparent in the tailored pieces of her SS20 collection. Case in point: this curved and darted tuxedo jacket with contrast stitching that traces the torso’s shape while allowing for roomy to move.

A New Chapter at Hermès Men: Grace Wales Bonner Takes the Reins
This week marks a turning point in luxury menswear. British‐Jamaican designer Grace Wales Bonner has been appointed Creative Director of Hermès Men’s Ready-to-Wear, succeeding Véronique Nichanian after an extraordinary 37-year tenure
Why this matters ? Because Wales Bonner’s aesthetic brings together refined tailoring, culture, history and craft — elements deeply aligned with Hermès’ heritage.
She is the first Black woman to lead the men’s division of a major European luxury house.
Her debut collection at Hermès is scheduled for January 2027, giving her time to build a meaningful vision.
What to expect: A harmony of quiet luxury and bold cultural voice. Imagine Hermès’ timeless materials and craftsmanship meeting Wales Bonner’s narrative of identity, diaspora and modern menswear. The “Hermès Man” is about to evolve — with elegance still as touchstone, but voice amplified.
Stay tuned as we watch this new era unfold.
— XOXO
