i got a b on my essay exam and i’m shooketh

as you can see from my stuff, I do much better in tests in linguistics than i do in attendance/hw

probably because homework and attendance can be negatively affected by me being sick (since i missed some hw assignments due to sick and miss some classes).

NGL i’m a little annoyed my attendance and active participation isn’t higher because when i am well enough to show up, i am one of the most actively participating students in the class. i think my accommodations were supposed to prevent me from missing points due to lack of attendance but somehow not gotten through yet? or maybe it only counted for the thing where they dock you 1% of your total grade for every missed class beyond your first 3, and since this isn’t total grade it’s something else, it doesn’t count? idk

wholeheartedly prepared to be told i am a spoiled selfish bitch but i can’t seem to get above a 2:1 in any of my coursework or exams and it makes me an average student and years of being told i’m a “bright student” and getting top grades has not prepared me for the realisation that i am, in fact, stunningly average. can’t complain because i’m not failing and it’s a consistent 2:1 which is a good grade but i appear to be living in a house of people with Firsts and it’s killing me slowly because they won’t shut up about it.

Maybe if we put our back into it we can get to that 96; Or keep our high honors..

shoutout to all the mediocre studyblrs, to all the people who put in work and don't get what they deserve. to all of the people who barely pass. For all of the people who are annoyed with people who whine because they didn't get an A. I see you and I am there with you!! Grades are not everything, remember that!

On another note, the results from last week’s exams are out:

I got a 10 in the exam I did on Monday (WOW I have never gotten a ten in ANY weekly exam before, WOW)

I got a 6 in the exam from Wednesday (the one I said went terrible *laughs* haha I’m glad I didn’t fail it).

And I got a 9 on the exam I did on Thursday. Good!

Still, that’s all the weekly exams and they still don’t look so hot.

Weekly Exam #1: I have a 0 because I missed it (AAHH IT WAS THE EASIEST TOO AH FUCK)

Weekly Exam #2: I got a 1 (:1 I remember that panic attack during the exam, good lord brain).

Weekly Exam #3: I got an 8

Weekly Exam #4: I got a 6.5

Weekly Exam #5: I got a 6

Weekly Exam #6: I got a 8

Weekly Exam #7: I got a 6

Weekly Exam #8: I got a 10

Weekly Exam #9: I got a 6

Weekly Exam #10: I got a 9

 Since they’re worth 40% of my grade and is likely I don’t have to take any other one, I’ve got 2.42 points for my final grade. AH Life would probably be easier if I didn’t have  0 and 1 in the the first ones. 

Assuming I get a 9 in the last departmental exam (which isn’t a terrible assumption to make, since for the first departamental I had a 9.5 and for the second a 10), that’d make 5.7 points for my final grade.

Added, It’d something around 8.1. 

I think I can live with that.
