said i'd work less overtime and then ended up with a 15hr day yesterday home for 6 hours then back in at 8am for a regular shift and then another 14hr day tomorrow all while training our new hire and covering for someone out and covering for another person who can't do half his job bc he's filling up his hours covering for me. we're booked on sunday too but i said actually i will not be doing that so now i'm also writing a protocol so they can cover for me on that and the only reason i don't have to come back in for sunday night is because coworker is getting off a plane and coming in to work immediately from the airport. and our intern just graduated. if only everyone in the entire world had warned me not to go into academia
#i thought nobly deciding not to go for my phd would mean MORE work life balance!!!!#AND i wanted to write tonight but just woke up from crashing immediately upon getting home which has happened every night#this week!#sorry for fig mourning hours i'm trying so hard to get things back to normal so im not like. an absentee human#we will get there! other crazy news i can't share yet and it's so so worth it and best believe on sunday i WILL be online#and hopefully WRITING!!!!#ALSO i can't even rebel by taking one of my 15min breaks outside because all the college kids are out there sunbathing#and PISSING on our BUILDING!!#actually there has been no pissing this year yet. that i know of. but it's coming.#figposts#sorry i feel like such a whiner but oh boy am i overwhelmed! and i miss my hobbies!!!
