its pretty insane how in a few months this whole ‘school’ thing is going to be over. like i wont walk the halls only to run into a million bodies and i wont walk past that math teacher that ruined my junior year. i wont have another first day of school, no more fire drills, no more long ass bus rides at 7:13 am. no more teachers trying to be friendly to kids they hate. no more teacher student friendships. no more discounted high school football games. no more rude/nice lunch ladies. no more lectures. no more homework and presenting in class. no more gross lunches. no more nacho mondays “the only good lunch day” no more seeing your friends every day. no more inside jokes. no more backpacks. no more lockers. no morning announcements. everything is going to be so different and im trying so hard to not take it for granted.
Ladies and Gentlemen, the comedy is over.
I'm finally done with high school. I've been waiting for the day I finish my last exam since I was in 7th grade and it has finally come. And what a great day it has been.
Got picked up and went to starbucks with Lizzy and Sy
Went out to breakfast with Alex at Dennys
Had my choir exam and said goodbye to jazz choir
Drove away with Sy, Lizzy, and Steve
Set up a JOB INTERVIEW! For tomorrow with river hills
And went to Lets Roll with Lizzy and got hookah and rolling papers. <3 So excited to smoke everything. Gotta get kurt to hook us up :D
What is happening to my brain where I am seriously considering moving to LA?!
Last Recruitment
So this week is recruitment for my sorority at school, and it just hit me tonight that this is my last one. This is my last recruitment, on the active side at least. This is it and once again i’m reminded that my time in college is slowly coming to an end. It is so bittersweet.
Delta Zeta has made me into the person that I am today, without a doubt. Everything I am is because of it. I have met my best friends, my sisters, my bridesmaids even my boyfriend through DZ. I owe so much of myself to this amazing sorority and it’s wonderful members.
DZ has gotten me through depression, anxiety, lonliness. It has helped me grow up and become more confident. I am forever in debt.
Though it’s easy to complain about all the crap that goes along with being in an organization with 100+ girls i’m going to miss it so much. I’m going to miss weekly chapter, listening to the president go on and on about something. I’m going to miss crazy recruitment chairs losing their minds the week of recruitment. I’m going to miss late nights with crazy sisters getting into shenanigans. I’m going to miss screaming “little” across a room. I’m going to miss walking around campus and seeing other girls in letters. I’m going to miss it all.
I know that I will still be a part of my chapter after I graduate, and that these girls will always be my friends, confidants, and partners in crime. But pretty soon it’s going to be different. Pretty soon i’ll be an alum and just watching from the outside.
Every year the graduating seniors say “live it up while you can…because before you know it you’ll be standing up here graduating wishing you would have done more”, and you know what….they were right.
This legit just made me so sad
How is this my last semester of undergrad already?! http://totalfratmove.com/1114762
What I'll miss in Gainesville
As you might know, I'll be graduating soon and leaving Gainesville, home of The University of Florida, The Foundation for the Gator Nation (sorry, couldn't resist. I think that's one of the catchiest slogans ever).(Actually, speaking of catchy slogans, the city motto of Gainesville is "every path starts with passion," which I also really like, but I digress.) Anyway, so after graduation, I'll be leaving Gainesville and moving to North Carolina. I already posted about all the things I'm looking forward to when I move, and while that's all still true, I also realized that I'll miss a lot of things about this sad little town. Let's discuss...
