I just reprinted my old zine with Graeme McNee - Style and Fashion Zine 2. Featuring street style, trends, people and places, interviews, and all drawings, no photos, from Osaka, Kobe, and Seoul.

This zine is gorgeous: 28 pages, 13.5 x 27cm, bound with gold thread and a translucent cover sheet. Lots of colors. Trimmed covers.

Buy it here. Ships “later this month” because I’m figuring out the right envelopes for this oddly-shaped tall zine. The first time I printed this zine, it sold out pretty quick.

Hi! Sayaka and I just got back from 10 days in Japan. Graeme McNee took some great photos of us at Kaigai Manga Festival and Comic Art Tokyo. Natalie Andrewson and Graeme and I led a risograph workshop with Retro Jam which I think was successfully informative and fun. I exhibited a show of big prints at the Jam gallery space, as well. Overall our trip was: fun, and too busy!

Shed & Frontlawn Zine by Ryan Cecil Smith, Graeme McNee, & An Nguyen

Debuts at TCAF 2016. I just finished assembling all of my copies.This is a heavy duty zine: 48 pages, 13.5x20cm, duo-tone and “faux-CMYK” risograph colors, featuring drawings of style, fashion, landscaping, as well columns about clothing trends, catching up on obscure Japanese fashion magazines, and the pros and cons of Copic markers.

Graeme x Muji

Shoutout to our Style & Fashion Drawings illustrator Graeme for his collaboration with Muji recently. Graeme not only illustrated a small book for the Japanese company -- which you can find at most Muji stores -- he also modeled their new line of fold-away travel goods (I like that packable windbreaker he’s wearing).
