She was bold and earthy like coffee; that first sip that coats your throat in warmth. Her essence was the smell of bookstores, and of a rare foggy morning after the rain when the worms would all be squirming outside in parking lots, reminding us all of the beauty and complexity of what lies underneath. She was raw and refreshing. Her flesh her scars told stories of love, pain and healing… And how badly I wanted to stay in the presence of her love. I will carry bits of her always. She will come pouring out when it rains. She will come out a little with each bleeding wound, with each salty tear. She was the salt of the earth that kept me grounded. She was air that kept me lifted. She was the water of life and made me feel alive. She was the spark that made my soul ignite. #art #amwriting #paperdolls #artseries #artandpoetry #painting #wip #workinprogress #spraypaintart #graffitiinspired #paintmarkers #contemporaryart #artistsoninstagram #creativewriting #poetry #fiction
Since I’m still somewhat “camera confined”, I’ve been trying to focus my creative juices elsewhere.
I had a glass chess board. It was clear, boring, etc. So, yes, time to stencil Bobby Fischer on the back of it. Now, when I play I get to see Bobby playing back at me.
I have two more paintings that I’ve committed to do, once done, I can start focusing on my show in October.
