I hate that people are hating on Ford but like at least I vaguely understand doing it in a misguided atempt to hype Stan up. (Ford was the "golden child" in an abusive home and low media literacy and a ton of media that makes the "perfect brother" to the "shadowed kid" be evil makes so some people just don't understand he was still abused just in a different way than Stan). I don't support it. In fact I hate it and think it flattens both Ford AND Stan. But I can vaguely get why someone would wrogly do it.
What I do not understand at ALL is people hating on Ford to prop Bill up. The amount of "it was mutual abuse", "is Ford fault for being manipulated", "Ford abandoned Bill" and "stop blaming all on Bill when Ford". Like I always assumed that like me people loved Bill because he is horrible. He is complex but not in a way his evil is redeemed or justifield. He is horrible and being pure evil is the closest to happiness he can find. He almost ended the word, he was the abuser, the torturer, he manipulated Dipper and Mabel, he is the villain. It is his fault and that is good. Because him being the worst is why I love him and it makes no sense for me if you don't. If you don't think Bill is responsable for his actions what characther are you even refering to?
