I have a 40 page dissertation to turn in by monday, a bunch of other finals... and yet I'm only thinking about the fic I'm gonna post on May 10th, aka Prison World Day!

Big day for a loser with an unhealthy obsession for two fictional characters who cannot stand one another... I'm right where I want to be :)

Y'all, I made a Bonkai edit on Tiktok and it has been lowkey blowing up for the past few hours. The thing is, I've received sm hate comments, it's crazy.

I'm being for real when I say that people have been comparing Bonkai shippers to Ted Bundy fans????

To use such a comparison feels so icky and disrespectful towards the real people that have been affected by that killer... ARGHHH IM SO PISSED

Also, why are people so pressed over a fictional non-canon ship, when other CANON ship have had way worse things going on between them... They can just scroll...

I won't sit here and pretend like Kai did not do Bonnie dirty and traumatized her, but I also saw the insane chemistry they had together. I can also recognize when a plot has immense potential for let's say a great (and actual) enemies to lovers + redemption story...

Kai is not a perfect character at all, and so is the majority of the main characters... His redemption arc was just not fulfilled (unlike Damon or Klaus).

UGH sorry if I'm ranting but fandom feels so puritanical these days... Bonkai is a pretty mild ship at that, I'm just so surprised at how much pushback I've received lol

BonKai aligns with every TVDU ship possible but the difference is Bonnie can fight back, she’s a black woman so you know how that goes in fandoms and the TVD writers claimed the wanted a villain they didn’t have to redeem so Bonnie has PTSD.
