I'm finally making a post about the PPG Graniph shirts! I stumbled across one of the stores during my travels in Japan, much to my delight because I completely forgot about these clothes. I think almost all of them were unisex, and SO oversized that I seriously thought something was wrong with the sizing. 😆 But oversized, unisex clothing is kind of the thing right now in Japan, so it wasn’t too much of a surprise.
They had so many good shirts, and at first I really wanted to get this one with the girls’ backs turned. They didn’t have it in my size though. 😭 I liked the shirt that it was paired up with on the hanger, mainly because I liked pocket Bubbles and just because I thought having a cute button down shirt with the girls on it would look nice.
…it also had dead Mojo on the back, but at the end of the day, it was a bit too expensive for me and I didn’t see myself wearing it often.
I ended up getting two shirts: one minimalist PPG white shirt and a black shirt with the girls punching the villains (technically I got 3 shirts since I was forced to get a RRB shirt with the PPG one I wanted 😫 the things I do for love!). Something I really appreciated about the Graniph clothes is that the embroidering really sets them on a higher level, which at this point in my life is what I want if I’m wearing fandom clothes. I like having options that don’t look cheap or overly gaudy. That said though, the screenprinting bits sort of have a reflective texture that makes them look a little lower quality, but it’s on the back so… I don’t really care about that. 😆
