More Arizona Monsoon Skies... after 45 minutes of a welcome, cooling rain just a bit earlier in the evening, we were blessed with this sunset behind Granite Mountain. The water is pretty much gone from this part of Willow Lake - so no reflections. I'm hoping for a very wet winter followed by early monsoons next year ;)

The photographer's (Michael Irving) daughter "Paintbrush" leaps the headwaters of the Cle Elum River in Northern Washington. The crest at Cathedral Pass offers an excellent view across the Cle Elum River valley to Granite Mountain. In the language of the Kittitas people, Cle Elum translates as 'swift water'.
