I brought my camera home yesterday thinking we might have another snow day today. We didn't, but I had to get this shot while I actually had the camera home with me. Grant is getting so big so fast, but he still looks like my baby in his footsie pajamas with his bunny blankie in his mouth. He walks around chewing on that blankie like a puppy would! He takes it everywhere he goes. We have to wash it at least once a day now. Good morning 35 (or half way to 70 as Shaun lovingly reminds me 😜)! I went for a beautiful run with Grant this morning and reflecting on it, I realize it contained a great lesson, and advice I would give my younger self... So I'll share! You see, Thursday is trash day in my neighborhood. We've lived there 4 years and on the very rare occasions I run (VERY RARE), it seems to always be a Thursday. So I weave in and out of the barrels and hate the smell and the noise of the trucks. And I think to myself "why do you always pick trash day to run?!" But today... I had a beautiful run. I felt the sun, watched the leaves fall, listened to Drake 💁, and it wasn't until I got back in my driveway that I noticed "hey! It's trash day". And life is sorta like that, you know? The world around us doesn't really change, it is what we choose to see that makes a difference. The last ten years have been HARD... building our business from nothing, having 3 kids, moving quite a few times... But they've also been blessed. And 35 feels like a year that I can just sit back and be grateful for it all. So what would I tell my younger self? I'd say: Joy is a choice we make about what we see. When life feels hard, it is little whisper, telling us "choose again". You're going to get wrinkles no matter what, so enjoy all the things that give them to you. And keep working hard, but quit worrying about the outcome, because your life is going to be more beautiful than you can imagine. 🍂🍁🍂🍾 #happybirthday #35 #lifewithgigis #grantdomenic #morningrun
