Thanks for the good time! The band "Band du pays swing", Candella dance studio, and The Speakeasy went all out last night for the event (A night of swing) at Rogue Barbers. Seeing fancy dresses and polished shoes moving across the shop floor was a reminder to just how much we love to host these kind of events. We are not just a barbershop, but would rather think that we are here for fun community events as well as offering the finest in men's grooming. Seems like everyone left with a smile and a pep in their step last night, so I say job well done everyone! The passion that some of these dancers have is inspiring to say the least. For some it was a return visit to dance under our roof, first event was for the salsa dancing event. I consider myself a Barber that can never learn too much. Have been in the industry for 17+ years and I'm always challenging my self to learn more, do more, and then turn around and share it. Last night @inoahbarber was showing me the finer points on how he does his bald fades. He does a fantastic job, every time. I definitely picked up a few of his techniques and anxious to apply what I learned. It still blows my mind on how one haircut can be approached in a million different ways. It's part of why I love what I do so much. Just how good do we have it. "My station is too small, we need a bigger back room, my chair needs to be replaced, the water is not hot enough, I need more outlets for all my gear, we need more space for clients" Can you see this guy in the photo saying any of those things, me either. We have it very good here. It all started when I was a boy, traveling with a church group down to Mexico. Helping the underprivileged, it changed my life and it tuned my eyes to recognize how well I live and to appreciate what I have/work hard for. My hats off to all the street Barbers out there, you guys drop hair in the most raw conditions. Meet Chase, a second generation of hair doers. Over a decade of barbering under his belt and moved back to southern Oregon from Portland. He moved from a very nice barbershop called @brickandmorter Now even though he is relatively new to our team he has hit the ground running and is constantly getting requests.
