This 2013 #Hess #Collection #Alomi is a #Cabernet that was formed from previously blended wine from there lower mountain property. First off the nose is fantastic. It is big and spicy. It's full of ripe cherries and black licorice. It's light on oak and that's not a bad thing. Unfortunately that's were the accolades stop. This isn't a bad wine but underwhelmes. The palate doesn't match. Who ever gave this 91 points either got paid to, got blinded the wrong bottle. It's not terrible but I would not but this up against anything higher than 15$. This one is a miss and just not put together very well.
