#ChateauHusson is a nice pour. #JamesSuckling gave this one 90 points. I have to disagree. It's full of restraint. It's blueberry and boisenberry in the nose. There is some damp forest floor. With 10 months in the Barrel there is a bit of bit of caramel and oak but it's mostly fruit foward. On initial pour this #wine is a little tight and needs a little time to stretch its legs out. On the palate there is a great acidity and a little bitterness but not in a bad way. You can taste the fruit upfront but there is a sharpness in the finish that makes this wine crisp and clean. It is strong enough to stand up to any dish. Grab a bottle for lamb, steak, duck fat or any red sauce and it'll be a nice companion. Its in the glass tonight! Dark cherry giving way to acidity and tannins. Black currants and dark cherry dominate the nose. On the palate it's all dark red fruit, think cherries and raspberries, giving way black licorice and crisp acidity. The tannins are drying into the finish. This wine drinks well above its sub 10$ price tag. So much great #wine so little time. What a great weekend lineup for the bachelor to be @dmartgpro. We did our best to turn wine into water. The #Kamen was amazing, #Napanook was big as hell, and that #NickelandNickel was out standing. The #StagsLeap Artemis was a solid 91/100. #Machete was drinking great at 95/100. Kamen, Napanook, and Nickel and nickel were all 96+ points. Skip the Far Niente. Nickel and Nickel is better and it's a single Vineyard wine, and the terroir really shouts out of these line of wines.
