My interview with the graphic designer Abed Marzouk.
1Q: Do you have someone or something inspiring you to design something?
The sources of inspiration are many, numerous, and almost everywhere around us in life.
2Q: Do you have ways or steps to get started with a design?
Yes. first, the nature of the project and all its dimensions and details must be understood before starting work. After that, a comprehensive research must be done about the content of the activity and the name of the project. After that, the thinking stage comes, then the sketches, and then the idea is implemented, revised and arranged. Finally, the idea must be presented in a clear, interesting and simple way to the client and this is called a mood board.
3Q: What are the difficulties you faced in this field?
Every project in this field is a challenge in itself, so there are difficulties facing for those who do the profession of design, especially managing a work team with it. One of the most important of these difficulties is how to convince the client of the creative idea and also accessing the mechanism for obtaining the same idea is one of the most important challenges in this field.
4Q: What distinguishes you from other designers?
It is not good to mention my good characteristics or speak positively about it, as it may be understood that it is a admiration or vanity, but I say that one of the most important characteristic of any designer or creative person is the originality of the idea, that is, it must be derived from his imagination and creativity and not transferred or quoted, as well as the most important characteristic of him is to be patient so he can find the idea and implement it in an impressive implementation, and also the creative person must be characterized by humility and not arrogance or vanity. This is a disease that affects many people, especially the creative ones.
5Q: And last question, how do you develop your skills as a graphic designer?
Continuous practice and access to various other experiences at the local and international level, as well as the weight of skills in courses, study and other things all of which contributed greatly to developing my skills.
