Graphics drive - Akurotori

Akurotori is offering to create ten graphics (gifsets, manips, and aesthetics). You can find the rest of her stipulations in our participating graphic-makers list here. Please contact Akurotori directly if you have more in-depth questions.

This is not an auction. You may pledge to donate any amount. The first ten pledges received in the replies will claim Akurotori’s graphics slots. Pledges must be given in USD. Here is a very handy currency converter.

Graphics charity drive

We’ve had some interest from a couple of graphics-makers keen on lending their skills to help out the Jonerys Fandom Unites charity drive. Thus we’re expanding the drive to include graphics like moodboards, gifsets, and manips. Note that our original plan for this drive was to limit it to fanart and fanfic. We never meant to denigrate the skill and hard work of the many talented graphic-makers in the Jonerys fandom by taking this initial approach. It was an attempt to try to keep the logistics of running this drive manageable for us.

The graphics drive will run separately from the fanart or fanfic drives. It will not be auction-based, as to provide a friendly, competition-free option for donating. It will also run beyond the closing date (August 19) of the fic and art drives. Graphic-makers can set a fixed donation amount for their graphic slots or choose to allow people to donate whatever amount they are able. 

Please reply to this post with the following info if you wish to take part:

The number of graphics you’re willing to create for the drive (i.e. a limited number vs. as many as people are willing to donate for).

The type of graphics you’re offering (moodboards, gifsets, or manips).

What themes or content you’re willing to do in your graphics.

Whether you have any technical expertise or limitations (e.g. if you add  special effects like flames, sparkles, etc. to gifs you make).

Whether you would prefer a specific donation amount or are open to people donating whatever amount they are able/willing.

Our graphics drive runoff will close on September 2 at approx. 1:30PM GMT. It’s not too late to make pledges on the slots from our participating creators. Help a great cause while bringing more Jonerys eye candy to everyone’s dashes!

Participating graphic-makers

akurotori Ten slots. Gifsets, manips, and aesthetics. Willing to do missing scenes, mild nudity, and AUs (depending on if she can find suitable movies), and quotes. Cannot add special effects to gifs or create edited/manip gifs. Donations of any amount.

forevertheanimekid Three slots. Gifsets, moodboards, and poster edits. Will do social media edits. Can do sparkle effects, inverted text, and minimalist style. Open to most themes provided high-quality source pictures and videos can be found (may request backup ideas in the event a certain graphic doesn’t work out). Specializes in making gifs, including B&W, dark overlay, and pastels, but advises that vibrantly-coloured sets are not her strong point. Donations of any amount.

the-last-targaryens Four slots. Moodboards. No special effects, just plain JPEG files. Open to fluff, angst, or light smut (nothing too explicit, or non-consensual). Not open to requests that disparage or negatively portray either Jon or Daenerys. Expects to take a few hours to create each moodboard. Donations of any amount.

Graphics Drive Runoff 

There are several slots in our graphics drive that remain unclaimed. We are thus opening up runoff posts for these slots in the hope they will receive pledges. This is still not an auction. The first pledge in each post will claim the slot.

Remaining graphics slots are are follows:

Graphics drive update

It’s been two weeks since the closing of the graphics drive. We’re pleased to report that all donations pledged on slots in this drive have been fulfilled. The graphics drive had a late start but it nonetheless raised $145 USD! This means that our campaign has now raised a grand total of £1,188/$1,554 USD!

Thanks to @akurotori, @forevertheanimekid, and @the-last-targaryens for volunteering their time and talent, and to everyone who donated!

The Jonerys Fandom Unites graphics drive runoff is now closed. Any pledges made subsequent to this post going live will not be counted.
