Mint anti-slippery crochet slippers // Weekend projects
During my christmas holiday I finally took my time to crochet some slippers for my cold feet and they not only turned out really cute and comfy but also took me just some hours to finish.
With a small trick I also made them anti-slippery! (No more gliding around with your homemade shoes.)
So if you have some spare time this frosty weekend here you go: some instructions and free pattern for the cutest and warmest slipper on earth!

Cute Mint Slippers and the Anti-slippery Trick

Crochet Hook nr 6 (Prym Crochet Hook 6)
Wool (2 and 1/2 Skeins) (MyBoshi Nr. 3 Jade)
Fit for Crochet hook 6. I used here Myboshi Nr.3 Wool which is pure Merino because I don't like working with synthetic wool. Mixed or pure synthetic wool is also fine though.
Magic Circle
with 8 sc in loop. Finish with sl st

Finish every round with a sl st
Front
1st Round
Add 8 sc evenly = 16sc
2nd Round
Work 1sc in every sc = 16sc
3rd Round
Add 8 sc evenly = 24sc
after that
1 sc in every sc = 24sc
until Row 14.
You can vary how long this part is. It should at least cover you toes though ;)
Heel
Divide the piece and work back and forth 19sts.
Finish at approx. 26 cm. Leave a long thread for sewing.
Now hold the loose end pieces together and sew the Heel edges together with 1 row of sl sts through both pieces.
Repeat for second slipper!
Your shoes are so cute and pretty and soft and warm but also kind of dangerous because you tend to slip in them twice a day and nearly broke your neck once?
Behold: the Anti-Slippery Dots!
You Need:
Textile Paint Colours (Like these)
and that's it.
I used textile colours out of tubes and made small dots all over the underside of my slippers. The colour is more paste like and not liquid so it will not be drawn into the wool.
Don't be stingy! Use a lot of it for big and fat dots.
Let them dry. And add another layer of colour if some dots turn out to be too small.
Put them on after a few hours drying. Go around in them on a flat surface. You will notice that they feel a bit sticky and when you take them off the shrivelled dots will be flat and nice looking.

Häkelnadel nr 6 (Prym Häkelnadel 6)
Wolle (2 1/2 Stränge) (MyBoshi Nr. 3 Jade)
Für die Häkelnadel 6. Ich habe hier MyBoshi Nr. 3 Wolle verwendet, die reine Merino ist, weil ich mit synthetischer Wolle ungern arbeite. Gemischte oder reine synthetische Wolle ist aber auch in Ordnung.
Muster
Magic Circle mit 8 fM in Schleife. Fertig mit Kettm
Beende jede Runde mit einer Kettm
In 8 fM gleichmäßig = 16fM
Arbeite 1fM in jede fM = 16fM
In 8 fM gleichmäßig = 24fM
Variabel. Hauptsache der vordere Teil bedeckt die Zehen ansonsten kann man ihn so kurz oder lang machen wie man will.
Teile nun die Arbeit auf und häkle 19M hin und her.
Beenden bei ca. 26 cm. Hinterlasse einen langen Faden zum Nähen.
Jetzt die losen Endstücke zusammen halten und die Kanten mit 1 Reihe Kettm über beide Stücke zusammennähen.
Wiederholen für den zweiten Pantoffel!
Textil-Mal-Farben (wie diese)
Machte kleine Punkte auf der ganzen Unterseite der Hausschuhe. Die Farbe ist mehr eine Paste und keine Flüssigkeit, damit es nicht in die Wolle gezogen wird.
Lass sie trocknen. Und füg eine weitere Farbschicht dazu, wenn einige Punkte zu klein werden.
Zieh die Schuhe, nach ein paar Stunden trocknen, an. Geh damit auf einer ebene Fläche herum. Du wirst feststellen, dass sie sich ein wenig klebrig anfühlen und wenn bei ausziehen wirst du auch bemerkten, dass die verschrumpelte Punkte nun flach und hübscher aussehen.
