Day 3/365 #gratitudeproject . Being with nature’s elements . “The thing is: we all know, deeply and intuitively, how to work with the elements. We carry this knowledge in our bones. It’s just that the world functions in such a way to keep us permanently in a state of excess air: in forward motion, permanently doing, permanently attached to our devices, as if it’s the most normal, productive and human thing in the world. And so we hold our body in stagnant positions, move at hyper speed online, and get (understandably) stressed by it all. Today I'm thankful for... 1. rediscovering Tumblr; 2. the solid one-hour admin-imposed extra break; 3. the green silk shirt I hadn't worn in a year I wore to work today and it got lots of love; 4. an adult student said, "You are a great teacher. My daughter and I like you"; and  5. my courage and consistency in publicizing creative projects despite lukewarm to no response.

Gratitude Project Day 27: family! We share a history and all have different experiences but that is the key to life and they teach us so much and still allow you to make your own mistakes. I am so grateful my family traveled so far to see me this thanksgiving. They all have busy lives bit is feels so good to stop and breath. And laugh. And cry. And talk. And listen. Gratitude Project Day 24: The Frey Life- Peter, Mary and of course Ollie. This may seem random if we haven’t spoke in a few years but here’s how it goes: I, like so many, found The Frey Life on YouTube because of a randomly recommenced Dollar Tree Hack video and I NEVER looked back. I started my very first “binge watching” I’ve ever done. I went back to the very beginning and haven’t missed a day since. @freyliving and @peterfreylife are “magical”! They are a true testament of Gods Great Works; in her fight and his support, his ministry work and her support, their dedication to us, The Frey Life family as well as to the CF community. I found them through the DT, got hooked my my love for all things medical and have stuck around because of their unwavering dedication to His Word, her health and theirs love for each other. Though they are younger than @james.d.henson and I are they have taught us so much about the selflessness we need to care for each other. We both have a heart for service but I think, maybe our generation, we have always focused that on extending out from our family not necessarily to each other and this is the biggest reason I am grateful. I often talk about keeping perspective and finding joy and living each moment like it’s a gift and that is all reinforced by this beautiful couples lives. Some know that it was them that inspired me to start on this journey of becoming a YouTuber and I own my success, in part, to them. So Thank you Peter, Mart and Ollie Boy aka Bonesy for making me a better....well me! And Thank you for doing this thing every day...makes me feel like I’m. It alone! Gratitude Project Day 23: Technology? I am so grateful for the technology that allows me to talk to my sister, across the nation, like we’re next to each other on the couch. It’s sometimes something we take for granted because it’s all around us but for an old bird like me, it’s miraculous.
