🐰on anon here, been wondering for a while if I should start my own cod rp blog, but due to the gradual hate, it's been putting me off recently :( even though I rlly have been planning to, I can't help but feel conflict so now I'm just asking other rp accounts if it's too late to start an account? what do you think?

I'd hold off for the moment, personally. Right now there's so many people that are taking indefinite hiatuses or just outright leaving. We're taking inventory of who exactly is permanently leaving and who isn't, and then going from there.

Spooks, Rhi and myself are scheduling a VC for Canonical characters, because we're the first one's people typically see in the tags. Then Rhi and I agreed we'll have an open VC for COD Ask Blogs in general and see where we officially go from there and what everyone agrees on.

Right now we're pretty much all in agreement that we need better structure and organization. So things might be changing with the overall structure of the blogs, or just what we do with them.

I know a few people have been talking about all of us taking a hiatus until all this blows over, but I personally don't think much will happen in that department.

Whatever happens, we'll be sure to release a full statement on our blogs about it, and other Ask Blogs are welcome to ask where the VC will be held. We're split between Teams and Discord, but we want as many people as possible to join this so everyone has a voice in what happens next.

WRITER INTRO!!

Hi all! I'm Cassie, I'm the owner of the ask-philgraves (NOT to be confused by @ask-phillip-graves , ran by the wonderful Fern) blog! This, at the moment, is my only Ask Blog within the COD community. Don't confuse me with any other Cassie, as my moniker is quite common!!

A few things about myself!! I am 21, an Aspiring novelist working on my own personal series called The Hero Chronicles, which is my passion project. I'll speak about it from time to time, and it has it's own custom tag, so if you want to find more, you can search #hero chronicles .

I come from a large family of six, and currently am in love with my wonderful boyfriend who does not have any social media besides Discord. 😂 I also have a wonderful dog, named Valkyrie, which you can find pictures of her under #valkyrie dog .

I am disabled, primarily physically! As I have an unknown blood circulation issue and autoimmune disease, which causes a whole slew of disorders and dysfunctions. So, sometimes I am just not around often, and that's because I am probably just taking a break so my body can rest!!

BLOG INTRO!!

This is an Ask Blog, styled with Roleplay. I rewrote his entire Backstory, and am currently making my own lore around this funny little guy. Basically doing my own little character study on how he got so sassy and traumatized.

I am not a MDNI blog, and won't be. I have younger siblings, and know how vital it is to provide a safe, third place for teens and other kids. However!! Please follow Tumblr's user & community guidelines. Because I am not a MDNI blog, I will not allow NSFW content within my ask blogs. You may make jokes, but do not be raunchy with it. Act as if a minor is always watching.

As for content, I do suggest a 16+ audience for this blog. That's not a hard rule, but a mere suggestion. There will be heavy talks about mental health issues, trauma, gore (will always be tagged), body horror and horror of war themes, nuance, suicidal ideation and mentions of attempts, addiction, self-harm through addiction, death, and more. This is not a light blog, be warned!!

As for lore, we currently have the #Ved'ma chronicles ongoing! So keep a lookout for those pesky lore entries...

Lore Entry #2

The willow tree where they decided to meet was quiet. Oddly so. An eerie atmosphere fills the riverbed, making a once tranquil place feel almost suffocatingly tense. The birds and small critters watched with rapt attention and quiet chatter. It seemed too much and yet too little at the same time. The silence was broken only by the babbling of the river, and the occasional fish leaping out of the water as it traveled upstream.

Phillip made his way towards the tree, his hand outstretched as he scraped his palm on the coarse bark. It provides a slight stinging sensation, but the pain grounds him if only for a moment. He wasn’t here for retribution. He wasn’t ever going to get that. Nor was he here to apologize, or make amends. She didn’t deserve weak and half-assed apologies. But she did deserve a punching bag, and that’s something he could deliver.

It’s not anything unusual to him. He’s used to being the villain of everyone’s story. His father’s, brother’s, His own country, and so on. That’s the curse he was given. The one that travels through his very blood. He’s unable to be anything else but the villain, and over time, everyone will become aware of it. 

Phil doesn’t sigh. He watched the river intensely, only coming out of the stupor when he heard her footsteps. They’re unmistakable. They could pick each other's footsteps out of a stampede. Too many late nights and drunken one-night stands between them to not have the sound engraved in their minds. He turns and faces her. Lime green, messy hair with a single black braid. Her typical Autumn clothing. She looks older and angrier. He knows that he’s the reason for that, just like he also knows, he looks like utter shit—deep, heavy-set eyebags, slouched shoulders, and his skin oddly pale. 

He watches her and then looks away. This time he takes a deep breath and puts on the asshole persona she needs. She needs to hate him, so he’ll make her… Just like he did last time. “You look good for someone who's supposed to be dead, Ellie.” The words taste like ash on his tongue. He looks away, hoping she won’t see the anger directed at him. 

He’s learned something a long time ago something that he’s internalized and kept deep within. Curses, no matter what you believe, aren’t something you can break without willpower. Something he no longer has, at least when it comes to himself at least.

Lore Entry #1

The sound of rain hitting concrete felt like the only thing keeping Graves from losing his sanity. The rushed smacks of water against a hard, unforgiving surface barely cut through the music playing through the lone earbud within his left ear. The slow tune of the start of American Pie as he takes a deep breath.

Today of all days, it was raining. It feels oddly fitting.

He reaches beside him, grabbing a bottle of high-shelf bourbon, and taking a long, hard swig. He puts his thumb over the mouth of the bottle so rain doesn't get inside and dilutes the alcohol within the heavy glass bottle. His tongue licks over the remains of the amber liquid on his lips as he uses his other hand to run through his dirty blonde hair.

He softly hums the tune, not paying attention to the lyrics as he stares at the concrete. Then, without warning, he throws the bottle, watching with rapt attention as the bottle breaks against the surface of the abandoned tarmac. Rain quickly washes the bourbon away, the glass glittering with the water that fills and overflows on the larger pieces.

Graves turns his face up, closing his eyes tightly as the rain washes away the salty tears starting to flow on his cheeks. He stays this way until the song ends, then, slowly, as if he was hesitant to leave, he stands. He wipes the water from his face and pulls out a little letter.

He reads over it once more, another deep breath.

He tears it into two throws it into the nearby storm drain, and heads back to the barracks that Shadow Company is holed up in until the storm passes and they're sent out to another mission. Sometime during the walk, he fishes his Marlboro Reds and starts to smoke a single cigarette.

He couldn't wait to get moving again. Standing still only seems to make the survivor's guilt worse. He doesn't know how much longer he has before he finally snaps and becomes a threat. However, there's still work to be done and he won't rest until he sees the mission through.

Hopefully this time, they won't have any casualties.

His eyes are so wide apart it reminds me of miniature pinschers!

Zu has that look and body (well she did before she got fat), it’d explain Feisty’s colors too, though miniature schnauzers have her color scheme too.
