A Red Canvas AU
It goes without saying that some of the first expeditions to Mars would have to have an excellent crew of scientists, mathematicians, geologists, etc., everyone trained to perfection by NASA. So, it also goes without saying that everyone was equally surprised when Character A -- a painter -- is chosen for the expedition.
To quell concerns, NASA explains that they were more than prepared for the logical side of their mission, but they lacked a fair amount of the emotional side. Character A was therefor sourced and deemed one of the first interstellar attachés, documenting the human side of this once in a lifetime experience, experimenting with different types of gravity-based art, and reporting home to the world just how alien but familiar the red planet truly was.
hello!!! i just wanted to ask if you were still planning to finish yj gravity? /gen i discovered it recently and noticed it hadnt been updated since nov 2018 so im a little curious about it!! i tried to look for news but couldnt find anything past pt7 publication, so i thought id ask (i hope its okay?)! :)
Hello!! And sure, you are more than welcome to ask about my series Gravity!
I have been waiting to write more that series since I last updated in 2018. I still think about it too much to say it's been abandoned, but obviously I haven't writing anything for it like 4 years. Part of the reason way is Part 8 is kind of another filler fic (though actually one that has some important plot points for future parts (I think I have like 13 or 14 parts of the series outlined or planned)) And it's been difficult for me to sit down at write. Especially when I really want to write like part 10 or something, but I can't skip ahead because of how I want to write the series. (I want to write the core of the idea, and then go back and add bits and parts in.)
Another thing, is I think in a way, I got a little burnt out at the time. I was write Gravity and other chapter fic for YJ at the time, and I know I sure has hell burnt out of the chapter fic. At the same time, I got into another fandom, and I really struggle with writing for more than one fandom (and this a year or so before YJ season 3 was I think even mentioned as a happening so there was very little new content). I haven't gotten back into YJ because I want to rewatch season 1 and 2 before the new stuff (and I need to given the Gravity AU happens in-between the two). I have to get back into the fandom a bit, before I write again and I just haven't gotten around to doing it.
I do want to write more for it, and I think about regularly enough for it not be gone or abandoned in my mind. And I have had a few thoughts of "I should write stuff for Gravity again" recently, but currently I took up writing for another fandom (I haven't posted much for it) and I've been enjoying it.
So I won't make promise of I will write more, or I won't, I don't really know at the moment. The series is not gone from my mind, but it's not at the front either.
Hope this long thing answers your question.
