Can you pay any amount of colorless mana to make Gravity Negator give flying to multiple creatures or can you only pay for one?

Gravity Negator’s ability is a triggered ability. When the triggered ability resolves you can pay C once or not pay it. Those are your options.

Gravity Negator

This might be my favorite of all the Eldrazi I did for Oath of the Gatewatch and Battle for Zendikar.  I tried to make nearly all of these illustrations feel sort of candid, like the viewer just stumbled upon this dangerous thing in the wild, minding its own business.  I think this one was the most successful at getting that idea across.
