Anakin tries to teach the twins to call obi-wan "grandpa" and obi-wan is desperarly trying to teach them "uncle obi". This then results in luke and leia combining the 2 names and calling him "Grunkle Obi"

Hey everyone! I’m finally getting around to making this, a handy little guide to an AU @peacexfreedom and I created! I’ll be making more posts and a headquarters page for it as I go, but for now, here’s an organized version of pretty much the entire conversation Peace and I had about it so you guys can start making awesome stuff for it!

Origin Story:
What: an alternate universe/crossover of Gravity Falls and Star Wars
Created by: peacexfreedom and astrophantompines
When: April 2016 (through Tumblr chat)
How: After I (Astro) saw The Force Awakens after its home release, I got a crossover idea: take Han’s death scene, and replace Han with Stan and Rey with Mabel. (It was also half-building off an idea I had right after watching the premiere of “Dipper and Mabel vs. the Future” last year, where Ford is the master jedi and Dipper is his padawan.) Anyway, I suggested the idea to Peace, and from there it snowballed into this whole AU where Han is Rey’s uncle and the characters of Gravity Falls live in the Star Wars universe. (And now here I am 4 months later finally making a post for it.)
The Basics:
Han is Rey’s uncle.
The “Uncle Han AU headcanon” is basically that, if these two were actually related (because Luke is Rey’s dad), it would’ve been awesome if Rey could have grown up around Han and the Millennium Falcon (which would practically be an heirloom for Rey in the AU).
The ages of the characters can fluctuate, but for most instances they’re based on Mabel (and Dipper)’s and Rey’s ages, who are either very young and little (around 6 or 7; basically to capture Rey growing up with Han) or, at most, 12 to 13 (essentially Mabel’s age in GF canon). Essentially, they are around or are the same age.
The AU is mostly set in the Star Wars’ side of the multiverse (at least location-wise).
There is a strong Han/Stan, Rey/Mabel parallel.
Everyone is still essentially true to character.
Han and Stan are “Smuggle Buddies” (aka the greatest “rogue scoundrels” you’ll ever meet).
Stan helps Han with his missions. Han helps Stan with his...“missions.” (Essentially it’s what Han already does, but now Stan does it too, mixed in with Stan’s more illegal side jobs.)
They always hang out together in their off-time, and let their nieces play together on the Falcon and come up with adventures.
Stan would be the weapon’s seat guy (when needed) and Han would be the pilot (with Chewie), and each niece would kinda follow along with their respective uncle, for the most part.
Maybe when they’re really little, they have their own little seats and mimic what their uncles are doing. Then as they get older, Stan and Han give Mabel and Rey a few seconds here and there to use the weapons or fly the ship.
The uncles would keep their nieces safe but would encourage them in a “Nice shot, pumpkin” kind of way while they watched from the side and drank galaxy beers and share tales and plan stuff.
Han and Stan are always looking out for each other’s niece as much as their own.
Mabel has her grappling hook; Rey has her Rebel pilot helmet and perhaps one of Ford’s magnet guns (like a sci-fi grappling hook).
Ford and Dipper: Ford would be the master Jedi and Dipper would be his padawan (to follow along with the apprenticeship plot line from “Dipper and Mabel vs. the Future”).
They’d be off doing Jedi stuff (sometimes in line with Luke), but would keep in constant contact and would visit with the others between missions (at some sort of “home base”) and everyone would be happy (which implies that this AU is well-suited to episodic one-shots, but feel free to do whatever you want with it). :)
If Soos come along: he can be like a handyman of the Falcon and becomes good friends with Chewbacca (they’re both big dudes). He is usually laughing obliviously at whatever C-3PO says.
If Wendy comes along: she’s like the protective but kick-ass big sister to Mabel and Rey. She helps them in their kid adventures sometimes, but also joins them when Han and Stan are teaching them about missions and smuggling. Perhaps she even joins Han and Stan ON some missions (based on that scrapped Stan + Wendy heist B-plot Alex mentioned).
Possible Wendy plot line: she dates Kylo for a while (kinda like how it was with Robbie). Not sure what point in life Kylo would be at yet as far as light vs. dark side goes (maybe he doesn’t know about Vader being his grandpa yet, but just starts going to the dark side because Dipper’s on the light side, and jealousy rivalry ensues), but perhaps he’s the Star Wars-space version of Robbie?
Would Dipper still get jealous? (Would Ford have to teach him not to follow that path to the dark side?) Or would Dipper and Wendy simply be best friends like in canon and he tells her everything when he comes back from Jedi missions?
Chewbacca: you thought Han liked Chewie’s laser crossbow in the movie? That doesn’t even compare to how much Stan likes it.
Mabel + Chewie: Mabel LOVES the furry big guy. He likes her too, but he feels constricted by the sweaters she makes him, no matter how big they are. But Han won’t let him say a word about it to her because she put a lot of effort into them and he’s just being fussy (Chewie, that is).
Possible reasons for all this happening:
After Ford comes back out of the portal, he takes all the Pines back to the dimension of “a galaxy far, far away.” Various reasons for doing so:
He (and the others) couldn’t stop Weirdmageddon, so they have to escape to this other dimension.
Ford still has an important mission to complete there (could be Bill-related or not), and he needs/wants his family there.
This one is particularly handy for creating a reason as to why Ford and Dipper are Force-sensitive. Did Ford pick it up while he was there (maybe someone experimented on him)? Did he learn that he had it all along, and that someone else in his family also has it (thus implying a spillover of the SW universe into the world of GF)? Did he become a master Jedi during his travels? The choice is up to you! (Though if people veer towards a certain headcanon, then I might deem that as the “official” one.)
For any of these, a good suggestion is that Stan runs into Han somehow, and the Smuggle Buddies start from there (no matter what age range of Rey/Mabel you go with).
The Pines go possibly just as a family adventure-type of thing to a dimension Ford discovered during his time in the portal.
Ford and Dipper are nerds, so the idea of exploring the Star Wars universe would be appealing to them (Ford: “Dipper! Omg, we’re going to the Star Wars universe!”). Stan and Mabel wouldn’t want to be so far from their family, or would even just want to go have fun in another universe. Maybe Stan would joke about going somewhere where he’s not on any wanted lists (yet).
Headcanons/Possible Plot Ideas/Random Bits:

Han telling Rey about his missions and then taking her along on one when she’s older (without Luke knowing).
Imagine a cute little Rey hanging around Han, who would pretend to be annoyed at this little girl always following him around, asking questions and touching his stuff, but he secretly loves it.
Little Rey wearing the Rebel fighter helmet (seen while she eats in TFA) and sitting in the gunner’s seat of the Falcon, making “Pew pew pow!” sound effects. Han catches her doing this and he’s just smiling from the base of the ladder letting her go on.
Mabel and Rey using Chewie as a jungle gym and climbing all over him. He does that arm flex thing where they hang off his arms on each side. (Sometimes he doesn’t want them to climb on him though and tries to shake them off, but they just squeal with joy and keep doing it.)
Free Pizza Guy is that one random clumsy Stormtrooper that bumps into everyone (just because; who knows why or how). (credit to @newsnepai for this idea, during a live stream)
Chewbacca got his nickname because a very little Rey wasn’t able to say his full name, so she just started calling him “Chewie” and it caught on.
Mabel + Ewoks: not sure of the circumstances, but Mabel meets a bunch of Ewoks and has a field day with them. Of course, she would need to make an Ewok sweater.
The Ewoks get together and use some of their fur to knit Mabel a sweater themselves. It’d be clumsy, but she’d still love it.
Ford keeping a Star Wars journal.
It would definitely have a page about Ewoks (that Mabel helps to write).
Han telling Stan about Jabba the Hutt at some point and Stan being like, “Eh, I coulda handle him.”
Would Stan understand Jabba’s language? Or just be like, “Quit yer gibberish. Here’s a deal…”
Mabel knitting one big sweater for Stan and Han to share that says “Smuggle Buddies.”
Mabel knitting a gigantic sweater for everybody to fit into and they’re all cuddled into it. Chewie would be in the center of the sweater group so there would be fuzzy warmth inside and out.
The girls bezazzling Chewie’s laser crossbow.
Chewie would either hate it because it’s too much of a distraction, or he totally loves it and Mabel sets up a photoshoot for him to model it.
Leia and Wendy hanging out together because both are badass chicks.
Leia becoming a mother figure to Wendy (and being the coolest mom ever).
Wendy dressing up Leia in flannel (and as a result, Han starts rocking flannel as well).
Stan, unknowing of the situation between Leia and Han, flirting with Leia the first time they meet (like on the ramp of the Falcon), and Leia going, “Ew, no.” Han sees and comes up behind Stan and is like, “That’s my ex, bro!” And in return, Leia says something like, “I don’t need you to defend me Han!”
Flash Makeovers: Galactic Edition!
Mabel sees a picture of younger Leia with the famous buns, and she and Rey basically knock over and tie down Leia and Wendy and make them both wear buns.
They bring their show around to Chewie and...just braids. Braids everywhere.
Gravity Wars - Interview with the creator, Ed Bartz!
A couple years back after sinking a few beers, we decided to phone up Ed Bartz, the creator of classic Amiga game Gravity Wars, to get the scoop on how the game came together. Good times!
A song in SDVX III that was used in the KAC finals. THE GIMMICKIEST SONG EVER. Kaneko Chiharu - Lachryma《Re:Queen'M》 features GRACE (RASIS' and the rest of the SDVX gang's enemy) not only in the cd jacket, but also in the GAMEPLAY, hiding the scores until the end. (She just becomes background and doesn't hide shit when YOU play it; just in the finals) ALSO, the TRACK BECOMES INVISIBLE (not the notes, just the lane where the notes come across). ...also "Re:Queen'M" is pronounced "requiem".
