Summary:
Raised by Valentine, Jace gets taught many lessons, most of them he takes to heart. He learns that he’s a soldier, his body a weapon for him to wield. That he can use it to kill he learns quickly, that he can use it to gain power in a totally different way later. And though he doesn’t enjoy it, he executes it.
That his body can be more than a weapon is something he learns much later in his life, and though the lesson is taught more gently than the previous ones, it’s probably the most violent he learned so far. But it’s a lesson Jace would not want to miss, and he knows he will never let go of the person who taught it. Alec.
