Just a thought...
You know how drones are basically debt collectors that collect sexual fluids from trolls who are in a flushed/red or pitch/black quadrant lest they be culled? And how being bi/pan (basically being attracted to all genders) is the norm for troll society? Now imagine how agonizing it must be for trolls on the ace spectrum to stay alive by forcing themselves into quadrants, especially aro-ace trolls who have zero interest in having and maintaining a quadrant in the first place. Like, being on the ace spectrum is already hard as is, because being sexually active is the normal way in a relationship and even if you have a partner who is also queer but not on the ace spectrum, chances are you’ll have to endure “heated” acts like making out or downright having sex just to make them happy and they usually won’t understand why you’re 9 out of 10 times (because honestly, it’s not a big deal for us when we didn’t have sex for years, let alone weeks) not really up to it. Because it’s a performance, an act we put up to please our significant others and like with all acting, it requires time and energy. And if you don’t have any time or energy to make the effort? You get upset because your partner gets upset over you not being up to it. So as you can see, it’s already hard enough to be ace as a human. So it has to be 10 times worse to be ace as a troll, because in Alternia hatred and corruption is the way to go. I’m really pumped up to write fanfic about trolls who I headcanon to be on the ace spectrum, I hope I can get the juices flowing. It’s basically uncharted land that’s begging to be conquered by us fans, for fellow fans.
