Trace is my personal favorite puppy from Ember's current litter I really hope he makes it to adulthood but we'll see This litter is fairly small so it's much more manageable than his previous gigantic one

WOLFQUEST:AE THREAD TALON-BURN CREEK PACK 1M

(Continuing the trend of transferring my WQ threads to this blog) This is Talon, aka my son Crump who has Every Disease. I love him dearly, he is one of my very old Multiplayer Wolves I've remade from back in my old WQ roleplay days in the aughts. He's a fairly large boy, most of his stats are spec'd into strength and stamina, but I tried to keep him pretty even. I have him focused around the Amethyst Mountain Western Den Sites, primarily within 'The Burn', hence the pack name. It was fairly fast finding him a partner, much faster than I expected. He ended up with a three star diversity lady that I named Nightingale! She's around a year older than he is.

Their initial territory range was fairly small and cramped, this later would increase further up North towards the Rescue Creek Pack territory, and some push south towards the Mollies, which had led to high conflict between both of these packs, especially given that Talon is known to be Extremely Aggressive, chasing rival wolves down and killing them if he's able to manage. They have had minimal, if any contact with the Lamar Canyon Pack as of current.

This was originally a thread on my Public Twitter but I wanted to transfer it all to this blog for my own recording purposes. Decided I was finally going to play through WolfQuest Classic with Graysona. I spec'd most of his stats into Strength and Stamina so the boy's a bit Slow but he hits like a truck.

Tried to find a Dispersal Wolf with the similar coat pattern to the WQ Coyotes since my partner's companion character for Gray is a Coyote. Had to circle the map more than a few times but I got 'em boys, nabbed Robin! And now, time to play through each difficulty mode through the end of Slough Creek.

First Litter: Easy Difficulty Level Went with naming all their pups after birds. The two boys were Eagle and Hawk, and the girls were Vulture and Finch. The problem baby was definitely Finch, she wandered off constantly, and because she was similarly colored to the ground it was nightmare to find her in the grass. Everything went mostly okay, up until the river crossing portion and I ended up miscalculating. Ended up crossing into Rival Wolf territory with Eagle in my mouth and it led to him drowning just before we hit the home stretch. I was so frustrated because I was certain I'd make it with all four pups for at least this round. Ah well. Everyone else made it though!

WOLFQUEST:AE THREAD BLAZE-'Burn Creek Pack Pack 2M'

Talon's first litter is of age now, while he and Nightingale are caring for their third litter of pups, the grown ones start making some important life decisions. While his littermates decide to venture further off, Blaze is recorded as staying within the territory of his birth, helping strengthen borders while mom and dad are busy.

Blaze, despite his sickly health in youth, is a healthy adult. He has no trouble hunting for himself while on his own, picking off the weaker elk calves

It's a bit into the season when Blaze comes across some of the Dispersals his mother and father haven't chased off yet. In particular, a female from the Hayden pack (Hayden 53f) makes her presence known.

Their courtship is fairly long, as Blaze is torn between kicking her out and continuing to entertain her.

Though it eventually settles in a decently lengthy trial period where she helps Blaze during several hunts and excursions chasing off other invading wolves from both the Rescue Creek Pack and others further off.

After properly sizing each other up, the two seemed to feel confident in the others hunting abilities enough to solidify their courtship and pair off together. The Hayden Pack female was now recorded as 'Burn Creek 3F' nicknamed 'Freyja'

WOLFQUEST: AE THREAD EMBER-Burn Creek 4M Later Documented, Hope Creek 1M

The last of Talon and Nightingale's first litter, Ember, also chooses to disperse along with his brother Scorch. Both of them part ways as they make it to the Eastern side of Amethyst Mountain. Ember initially trailed behind Scorch before losing sight of him one morning, and was left to fend for himself.

Scorch is a far less bold and much more careful wolf than his two older brothers, Blaze and Scorch. He takes a lot more time to carefully assess scenarios before jumping in, planning hunting strategies with the idea that he can work smarter, not harder.

Here he manages to wait until the two rutting bulls are too distracted by each other to help the calf that he was aiming for.

However, before too long, Ember actually takes note of its mother who seems to be trailing behind the herd in such a way that she would make for an even more fruitful target.

Happy with himself, Ember settles into his kill and tries to rest for another day on his own.

Unfortunately, he's not the only dispersal wolf on Amethyst at the moment, and three other male dispersals from the 8 Mile pack accost him at his kill. He managed to fend them off long enough to run and abandon his hard earned elk, leaving him hungrier than he thought he would have been that morning.

He had been so focused on escaping that Ember hadn't noticed he was being trailed by another dispersal. This time, a Beartooth female, 14f specifically, who seemed more interested in getting to know him than fighting.

She was firm with him from the start, which paired well with Ember's more reserved nature.

It was a fairly stressful trial period for Ember, as the herds had moved on by then and he was eager to impress and reassure that her was a competent hunting partner.

Even though the Elk herds had begun moving down the Valley however, Ember and 14f were able to catch wind of some Mule Deer and their fawns.

The successful tracking must have been enough for 14f to solidify her decision and the two were recorded as seeming to have settled with each other. Researchers have now dubbed her 'River'.

WOLFQUEST: AE THREAD SOOT- Burn Creek 6M Later documented Aspen Heights 1M

Soot is the first to venture all the way to Slough Creek. He ventures his way into First Meadow and is eager to pick up the fallen antlers, chewing on them if they aren't too far off from falling from the stag.

He's a bit of a clumsy hunter, running somewhere in the middle of pack in terms of size and strength. But he gets the job done all the same, albeit if sloppily.

Funny enough, his clutzy hunting attempts seem to draw the attention of an older wolf from the Fridley pack, around four years of age as opposed to his two. She's quite interested in him right off the bat, taking to urging him to follow her to kills she'd already made.

Her experience and years on Soot allow her to help teach him more effective and efficient ways to hunt. Eventually she leads him to interrupting a hunt from the Lake Surrender dispersal males.

Chasing them, and other larger creatures, like the cougars that roam the Creek, away from kills that the pair made themselves as well as ones scavenged.

The Fridley female was named 'Artemesia', for her pelt. Her and Soot settle near Aspen Heights, where she had seemingly been making her den already. Documentation of the wolves would follow in seasons coming.

WOLFQUEST: AE THREAD CINDER-Burn Creek 7M

Talon and Nightingale's son from their second litter has decided to stay with his birth pack along with his elder brother Ash. Unfortunately, soon after they reach their second birthday, his older brother is killed in a scuffle between a Boar Grizzly over a hunt. This encounter also left Cinder with a heavily scarred face that leaves him half blind.

Cinder is a successful hunter, taking after his parents with his large stature. He makes a menace of himself with the elk herd populace before long on Amethyst Mountain.

Cinder wanders into Rescue Creek turf, meeting one of their younger females as he does.

She takes a quick interest in him, soon taking to tailing him around pining for attention.

However, despite the trial period being a lengthy one, Cinder just couldn't tolerate having to practically babysit her as she relied on him entirely during hunting. Her lack of desire to pull her own weight pushed him to chase her off, ending the trial and striking out on his own again.

Cinder wanders for a time. Staying his distance from his pack, partially just fed up with other wolves at the moment and also for the desire to grieve his older brother, to whom he was closer than most.

He's not without some pursuing suitors though. Solitude is not a common peace for wolves, and Cinder struggles to find it.

During a hunt, when he's wearing down to skin and bone, another wolf his age, alone like him, looking worse for wear but determined nonetheless, also like him.

Her face scarred up from many a won fight, she and Cinder formed a hunting alliance. The pair were followed for more than a few weeks as they grew more and more successful with each hunt.

After the pair became confident enough to start nabbing moose calves out from under their mothers, it became clear that the temporary alliance was permanent. The unknown female is deemed 'Rowan'.
