Is it cool if I ask about your sexuality and such? I'm not super educated in subcategories of such and I'm super curious on what they mean! :D I am unfamiliar with some of the terms with them.
Hi! Omg yes, of course! I'm happy to explain things. Let me first state I don't talk for all people that identify as being Ace but the fridge sex repulsed 'broken' people that we get portrayed as in the media is offensive and untrue. Speaking as a cis woman, I have gotten the same verbal garbage lobbed at me as unfortunately lesbians get about 'how I just need a man to give me a good pounding and I'll be fixed'
As a teen I never really had the words or terms to describe that I like the concept of sex while never getting the urge to actually physically have sex. I could talk along with my friends and was always the most open minded about it.
Through conventinal published fiction and fanfiction, I quickly figured out that first person point of views really make my skin crawl because its whole purpose is to put you, the reader, as the main character. And that hit home to closely.
When I did start having sex, because I do have sex, I really wasn't interested in the smooching of body parts together. I was much more interested in getting held and the emotional intimacy. I am a very tactile person, I thrive on physical touch, just not sexual in nature.
GrayAce is a term loosely used to describe that you sometimes feel sexual attraction to someone. I deeply love my partner on a romantic level, I find him handsome, and attractive just not always in a sexualy sense. I don't look at him and go 'omg I need to jump him right this second' but I love him deeply and sometimes I go 'OK maybe kinda think about jumping you'. There are men and women that I absolutely fine attractive and make me go 'damn!', but in 99,9% of the cases, the sexual implication 'I want to jump them' doesn't follow up.
I just learnt the term aegosexual, and it just clicked. In a nut shell, it means that I enjoy everything about sex and that's associated with sex but don't want to have it! @aegosexual-moments has an awesome pinned post on their blog that goes into way more detail and has bullet points
Basically i love sex! I love smut and erotica! I always filter out the tag 'no smut' on A03. My mind I so absolutely filthy and I have a long list of preferred kinks. I watch porn like it's a documentary to help with writing smut. I day dream about my favourite characters having sex. I like reading about sexuality in all it's forms.
So to make a long story short, I absolutely love sex, just don't want to have it!
Sorry for the long rambling but I hope this cleared up some confusion.
Happy Pride! 💜🤍🩶🖤💜
