Look, I GET it. For anyone even 3 minutes older than me, I am naught but a wee bebeh. I'm being silly and have no idea and wait 'till your MY age and yada yada yada. But I'm allowed to have some mild existential anxiety about turning 50, and since this comic strip has my NAME in the title, I'm gonna explore that. lol Any other cartoonists out there starting to feel the years OR the mileage? #CartoonistsFeelingOld
My mother went gray at an early age,
As did her mother,
Neither making it out of their 20s unscathed,
Whether outside factors or familial trait,
I'm not quite ready for this fate,
I plucked my first gray hair today.
A thing about Wulff Yularen
One character whose actions had made me quite surprised is Wulff Yularen.
Yularen is one of few nat. born members of GAR who made it through the war. He is often seen side by side Anakin, Ahsoka and Rex. He sees Jedi in action, he sees them as persons, hears how Ahsoka cares about him and in general if I'd be able to work with Anakin, Ahsoka and occasionally other Jedi like Obi-Wan, I would be super excited. And they seemed to get along rather well, even Anakin probably caused him early graying.
So. I am baffled, a bit sad and hurt and even confused how did Wulff Yularen agreed that yes, sure the Jedi were evil, I am now going to serve this new Empire thingy.
I am curious how he justifed it to himself or was he just greedy oppurtunist?
Can anybody PLEASE tell me how to save my lavender plant? It’s a Goodwin creek one and it keeps partly graying and I don’t know if it’s supposed to do that or if it’s dying. I really want to keep it alive but I am out of my depth here.
I had to check, and the PUNCHLINE in this strip is a 35 year old reference, and I do not care. lol. If you're young and don't get it, just look up "Life Alert Commercials". It's... it's a classic for a reason. Otherwise, I decided to start having Heidi recolor my hair a few months ago, as I was getting self-conscious about the gray, and just had it retouched so that it's fresh for the Reuben Awards ceremony at the end of the week. I may be turning 50 in a couple of months, but I am not ready! lol
I have been going gray since 14 and now every person that i come across will pick at my hair and look at me with pitty.
Oh, humanity and it's cruelty.
