Hell no he’s not going to back pedal he’s going to own this joke he made and maybe the sort of upsetting nature of the joke.  “Besides, it reminds me of, uh... it reminds me of someone from back home and it’s a bit eerie,”

Tucker looks up at her, attention pulled from the gunk he’s been trying to clean off his boot for the better part of an hour. It’s not going anywhere fast and he’s so ready to be doing anything else. “Yeah, sure, what’s up?”

Biting back a laugh, Tucker scrunches up his face, though he doesn’t draw away from Carolina’s hand. Cause the nose thing is... yeah it’s a little weird, but for Carolina, he’s pretty sure it’s good weird. He had been sitting on the counter, watching her move about kitchen, talking about whatever the hell had popped into his head when she’d paused in front of him to boop his nose. 

He lightly kicks at her leg with his foot. “Hey, that’s not an off button. If you want me to shut up, there’s better ways to tell me,” but he says it lightly, cause he’s got a feeling that’s not why she did it.

♚ : Head scratches

Tucker’s not trying to fall asleep. He really isn’t. But the night before sucked and Carolina’s training routine is at least twelve times more intense than Wash’s and he kind of wants to keel over and die. As it is, he’s already sunk to sit on the ground, knees pulled up to his chest as he tries to fight off the waves of exhaustion rolling over him. 

A touch to his head almost makes him jump. He probably would’ve if he’d had any energy left. As it is, he only has the effort left to look up and blink slowly at Carolina, slightly leaning into the touch as she gently scratches at his head. Tucker manages a little half grin. “I’m good. Just... need a five minute break. Or like a five hour one. I think I’m dying. How’d you talk me into this again?”
