The Great Lakes Blue Cheese Burger is a tasty mix of fresh vegetables, juicy beef, and tangy blue cheese. It's the ideal burger for a battle royale with a Great Lakes theme!
Ingredients: 1 lb ground beef. 1/4 cup crumbled blue cheese. 1/4 cup diced red onion. 1/4 cup diced tomatoes. 1/4 cup lettuce leaves. 4 burger buns. Salt and pepper to taste. 4 slices bacon optional. 4 slices cheddar cheese optional. 1/4 cup mayonnaise. 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard. 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce.
Instructions: Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. In a bowl, combine ground beef, crumbled blue cheese, diced red onion, salt, and pepper. Form into four patties. If using bacon, cook it until crispy in a skillet over medium heat. Drain on paper towels. Grill the burger patties for about 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare, or to your desired level of doneness. If using cheddar cheese, place a slice on each patty during the last minute of grilling to melt it. While the burgers are cooking, mix mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, and Worcestershire sauce in a small bowl to make a sauce. Toast the burger buns on the grill for about a minute or until they are lightly browned. Assemble the burgers by spreading the sauce on the bottom half of each bun. Place a lettuce leaf on top of the sauce, followed by a burger patty. Top with diced tomatoes and, if desired, crispy bacon. Finish with the top half of the bun, and secure with a toothpick if necessary. Serve hot and enjoy!
